Interesting things I notice as I rewatch Friendship Games (will be updated sporadically) · 1:41pm Sep 27th, 2015
A list of things I'm catching/paying attention to on repeat viewings:
- Dean Cadance doesn't have the crown-shaped cowlick Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna have.
- Spike was playing with the same blue rope-bone toy the other Spike was playing with near the end of Rainbow Rocks.
- Twilight's birthday is apparently a few weeks after the Friendship Games. (I might need to do something with that...)
- Midnight Sparkle's horn is a CHANGELING horn.
EDIT 1: I'm an idiot for not realizing this last night.
Concerning the ponying-up of the Rainbooms throughout this movie, well...
Obviously they can't show us this because it'd get a little fanservicey for the Y rating, but...I think they got their Cutie Marks. 
Where specifically was that indicated/implied?
3423936 Granted, I'm assuming it's hers and not her mom's, dad's, or Shining Armor's, but on the calendar by her Big String Theory Board, the one that the Friendship Games post-it note is on? The last week on the page it's open to, right in the middle of the week, has a birthday cake drawn on one day.

I actually noticed that on the first viewing.
And I didn't say this on your previous posts about the movie, but I think that Midnight Sparkle has one of the coolest character designs ever.
I personally felt Cadance looked rather Plain as opposed to pony Cadance. As to Midnight Sparkles horn i too noticed on the first view how changeling it looked so to speak

I noticed Midnight's horn was pretty wicked too, but i don't think it was a changeling horn...
Yeah I thought it looked like a changling horn at first, then I took a look closer and it's not holey. It's actually spiralled like a drill bit.
I too noticed the Changeling horn on Midnight Sparkle. The way I see it, she and the Changelings has something in common, hunger.
For the Changelings they hunger for love, no brainer.
As for Midnight Twilight, throughout the whole movie her little device, which I like to call it an Energon Harvester, has been stealing the magic of any source it's close to. Then there is also the fact that H-Twilight herself has a insatiable thirst for knowledge and to understand the happenings of CHS and Equestrian magic. Her willingness to destroy her home reality just to access Equestria shows just how far she could go for her pursuit for knowledge.
This may not mean anything at all, but I noticed that during Rainbow's motivational song, Vinyl shouted "Unite!" along with the rest of the audience. So maybe she isn't mute after all.
Cadance may not have the crown-shaped cowlick, but her gold necklace greatly resembled the... "chest-piece" (?) that her pony self wears.
Also, Lemon Zest's emblem is on her headphones: It's a Slice of Pizza!

3424789 The changeling/twilight midnight idea makes sense but here's my idea; since the horn was essentially magic taking a physical form, maybe that horn shape is just what shape it takes when the magic it uses it stolen from others. I saw a theory about this -I think it was one of Moth's stories but I'm not sure, I read way to many fics- changelings feed on love to survive, use their abilities. and magic but love is also tied to the ponies' magic: friendship is a form of love and since friendship is an element of harmony then love must be stronger than the EoH... where was I going with this? I had a point... Hmm...
