Toy-scalping. If you have ever gone into a store and have seen an amazing toy, but you don't have any money on you so you run home to get some money.
You return to see that every version of the figure is gone and all that is left are the ones that you don't really want.
You have been a victim of toy-scalping. People basically buy all of one figure so they can sell it on the after-market (toys that aren't being made anymore) and are going to charge you $80 for a toy that was $10.
I hate scalpers. I wasn't a victim today, I got a Legacy Green Ranger figure, but this is annoying. I had to buy Bruticus from Bigbadtoystore.com because they were scalping him on Amazon and everywhere else. That is really annoying.
If I ever catch someone scalping, I am not afraid of going to jail for assault. The next time you would hear from me would be in my free time.
In a nut shell this would be you when it comes to scalping.
Odd thing is this is the first I've heard of this, I have a friend who was half tempted to do something similar with a amiibo he bought at work. The only reason is because when he first purchased it he wasn't paying attention to the fact it wasn't painted, at first he thought it was a mistake by the manufacture but found out later it was a rare mold. He still has it just to have it.
3815243 basically yeah, and tell him to keep it. Mistakes and errors in figures, if the number are large enough, are often worth it.
I just don't think it is fair for a kid to fell this pain. To this day, I have never seen the Wild Force Deluxe Isis Megazord in stores because of scalpers. That was the most awesome figure I will ever see, and I could never get it because of them. It now sells for $600 online. The Japanese version is $340. Screw America, I am going to get the Japanese one day.
