Changes to the Structure of Fools and Drunks · 2:59am Oct 10th, 2016
As fans of this story, in which Snips and Snails/Glittershell venture into the Everfree and become trapped by the Wraiths of Sunney Towne, may have noticed -- I have changed the structure of this story considerably. It was originally meant to be a novelette to novella with a short flashback in the middle; and has now become a novel with a novella-length flashback in the middle. Its current structure could be summarized as:
Fools and Drunks (incomplete, projected ~ 70K words)
Book I: Getting Into Trouble (complete, ~20K words), comprising 5 chapters;
Book II: Ruby of Sunney Towne (complete, ~ 16K words, comprising 4 chapters)
Book III. The Tragickal History of Sunney Towne (incomplete, with 4 published chapters of ~20K words, and 2 more projected chapters of ~ 8K words, comprising a planned length of 6 chapters with ~ 28K words).
Book IV. The Final Judgement (not yet started, projected at 3-5 chapters of a total ~ 12 - 24K words).
So the final length will be 19-21 chapters with a total of 76-88K words, or short to moderate novel length.
Discerning readers may notice that "The Doom Which Came To Sunney Towne" has been retitled "The Decline of Sunney Towne," since the actual Doom doesn't strike till the very end.
The tags are for the novel as a whole; Book III in particular is less comedy than tragedy, as one might imagine.

90% of everything is garbage. Unfortunately, that leaves hundred of good authors on FiMFiction alone. With my schedule, I have an hour or at most 2 daily for reading stories. I shall try to read the aforementioned story before 2100.
