    General Writing Announcement

    Hi guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I'm going to be suspending my long form fic writing for a bit (hopefully just a couple of months) because...

I'm going to try to write an actual original novel.

    Reoganization under way.

Okay, so, I have decided to relocate my erotica stories to their own dedicated account. So if you see any of my saucier works disappear from this profile, don't panic. They're still around, just in a different place.

Once everything's finalized, I'll let everybody know where they can go to find them.

    Once more with feeling...

So, yeah, I need some financial help again. This time, however, it isn't quite as dire. I just came up short on money for my rent and a couple of bills that get automatically deducted from my bank account. I'm already halfway to my goal, so if any of you could help push it over the top, that woul dbe great. Any amount helps. Thanks.

    Thank you!

Equestria Girls Headcanon Nonsense: Movie Night (Part 2) · 1:07pm Apr 17th, 2018

Okay, I ran out of time while composing the previous blog so let's wrap this up.

Twilight Sparkle: As obsessed as she is with science and her own experiments, Twilight, surprisingly, hasn't seen a lot of movies. While she's gone out of her way to see the Daring Do movies, most others have flown under her radar. Since transferring to CHS, the other girls have started her on a movie crash course... with mixed results. Most notably, they've decided to avoid seeing the Marvel movies with Twilight as she spends more time nitpicking the science involved in the various plots than actually watching the movie. (It was particularly annoying when she spent the entirety of Age of Ultron pointing out how Tony Stark made it harder on himself in designing Ultron and then refining said design for the rest of the movie. Quoth the Twilight: "Is it over already? What happened?")
That said, Twilight's not a complete killjoy. She enjoys Star Wars and the Star Trek movies (yes, even the reboots) and is able to keep her know-it-all tendencies to herself through those. She's not much for modern comedies, because she's not a fan of the gross out humor that tends to pervade them. She does like John Hughes movies (despite their "problematic sexual politics," as she puts it). She has copies of The Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink, and Sixteen Candles on her hard drive. Weird Science is her favorite "turn your brain off" movie because it's quite clear that there's no actual science involved in the movie in the slightest. In keeping with that, she also likes Easy A because of it's Hughes-like aesthetic.

Sunset Shimmer: Sunset is the outlier of the group in terms of tastes. Having grown up in Equestria, she's not really a huge fan of fantasy films or most animated films based on fairy tales. She famously ranted for an hour and a half over the unicorn in Legend. Although she makes an exception for The Last Unicorn, as she can relate. (Fortunately, when she first saw it, she was alone with Fluttershy so there was only one person to witness to her complete emotional breakdown. She's much better with the movie now.)
She's largely ambivalent to most other genres of movies. She has her favorites among her friends collections: Easy A with Twilight, Stranger Than Fiction with Pinkie, Heathers with Rarity, The Quick and the Dead with Applejack, and The Maltese Falcon with Fluttershy. Her favorite with Rainbow Dash, however, is Grindhouse for one simple reason: since coming to the human world, Sunset has discovered that she is a horror fan.
Sunset loves horror movies. Everything from 80s slasher movies, to modern ghost stories. Rarity, in a Hitchcock mood, introduced her to the original Psycho and that started the ball rolling. Sunset has a ton of horror and B-movies in her collection, including the complete series of Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween, and The Howling. (Not the reboots though. Those suck as far as she's concerned.) As far as more modern fare goes, she also owns Ginger Snaps, It Follows, Insidious, and the entire Saw series. She's not a huge fan of "found footage" movies as they start blending together and all begin to look the same.
Aside from Rainbow Dash and occasionally Applejack and Pinkie Pie, the other girls do not share Sunset's appreciation for horror. So, Sunset usually saves her viewing for when she's by herself. Most of her Sundays are spent browsing WebFlicks looking for some new horrors to watch. (She occasionally entertains thoughts of inviting Princess Twilight over and scarring her for life with some of the movies in her collection. She hasn't acted on them... yet.)

So there you have it, my take on what kinds of movies each of the girls like. Have your own ideas? Leave a comment. Again, I'm always interested in what you guys think.

it would be interesting to see that Midnight Sparkle and demon Shimmer would like as well as Chrysalis and nightmare moon and daybreaker

I would definitely read a oneshot of Sunset scarring Princess Twilight for life. Gotta be a movie with a slow build though, so she can't see it coming ahead of time and bail :rainbowlaugh:

As strange as it is to say, I will agree that the MCU does seem a little too realistic for SciTwi to watch without nerding out. I will say that it's interesting how she can be fine with Star Trek, however, as that series was made to be more scientifically realistic in comparison to most other Sci-Fi of its era. (I count Star Wars as more Science Fantasy than anything remotely Science Fiction.)

Sunset isn't into fantasy? I mean, I can see that in the case of most fairy tales. I'd believe that she'd make an exception for something like the original Beauty and the Beast. But one would think she'd be able to relate to Frodo's quest to destroy the One Ring, or Anakin's sacrificial act of redemption. IDK, that seems a bit odd; at least in terms of how I interpret the character.

I dunno. WingTwi is pretty smart. I'm sure she'd read enough books on the subject to see it coming a mile away.

...-pation!

I always wanted to read a story about Sunset Shimmer watching the Last Unicorn.

What does she think of Tremors and its sequels?

Until next time...
