IN WHICH A THING IS COMING

Out of curiosity, I checked to see exactly when I posted my most recent fic on here. It was just over two months ago -- the Shitty Rainbow Dash Story (that's its actual title regardless of what it says), which I almost forgot I wrote.
Over two months. Shit.
Granted, that's nowhere close to the longest I've gone in between uploads, and it's not like I've been completely idle since then.
In fact, I can promise you that I will post a new story tomorrow (my time; I know for some of my readers, it's already the 20th).
As many of you may know, every January 20th, I post a Mayor Mare story as a celebration of the day I steeled my guts and unleashed my first bit of writing on the world. In the four years since I wrote Ponyville Holds An Election, I want to believe my writing has improved, although that's not for me to judge. Recently, I went back and tweaked passages in that story to satisfy my OCD for word-count, but I have no idea what I did. Couldn't have hurt the story though.
So… yeah. New Mayor Mare story. January 20th.
I do have one regret though. It's that I'm so fucking lazy and have been distracted by other things, I won't have the entire fic completed by tomorrow, at least not in a readable form. So you'll have to settle for the first part, with the second part coming in maybe a week -- I make no promises beyond what I know I can do.
Anywho, look forward to it!

I recently had someone talk to me, despite reading my author's note in chapter 2, about why I should manipulate my readers into making Fear lovable and wanting him to be redeemed.
I ended my explanation with that I wasn't gonna force anyone to like Fear, and I wasn't going to manipulate anyone into liking him either. It says more about what they want as a person if they're seeking vengeance on Fear or if they're seeking redemption for him, than it does about Fear himself. Fear is a child and he made a huge mistake that he'll live with for the rest of his life.
I'm so tired of people not getting this.

Speaking of which, I've recently restarted work on my next-to-last Burritoverse story. I can't say when it'll be ready, since I have two other stories in my queue in front of it. If I can finish it by this time next month -- which will be the 4th anniversary of Sunset Shimmer Buys A Burrito -- then all the better.
