I'll be doing something a little different for the next few Hooves of Fate releases. They will be micro-chapters. Short and sweet. Like...really short.

Help! My Heart is Full of Pony! - Science · 12:35am Feb 19th, 2022

What if this is the real reason why Equestria never developed modern circuitry? In some areas, they're straddling the edge between agrarianism and industrialization; in other areas, they've almost moved beyond industrialization, and developed quasi-electronics (presumably through arcane unicorn magic).

What if their capacity to develop truly modern tech across the board is limited by the fact that the PRINCESS OF THE SUN causes solar flares and EMP's every time she giggles?

Discuss.

I mean, if that mane really is an aurora, it represents a terribly disruptive amount of electromagnetic energy. Clearly the answer is to keep Celestia in a Faraday cage during all demonstrations.

And what catastrophes happen when Her Royal Highness sneezes or hiccups? Is there a chapter in the Royal Guard manual to cover the unexpected yawn or cough?

Though Celestia loves her little ponies, she might be holding back their progress.

But given that Friendship is Magic, perhaps it is a benefit that is worth the complications.
