This story is a sequel to Flurry Heart's Story: My Big Fat Pink Wedding
The new tree replacing Golden Oaks Library is now renovated! While Spike and Buttercream go out to celebrate their birthday with their siblings, Flurry and her friends all prepare to do a sleepover in the new "Harmony Clubhouse" tree, but things go awry when they start to argue over how to spend the night. Unbeknownst to the children, there is a powerful ghost lurking in the shadows of the tree: an ancient evil that has crept forth after being dormant for over a millennium. It may seem like some random ghost, but its presence is a sign of dark things to come.
Inspired by the official show, this is part of a fan-made sequel series I created called "Flurry Heart's Story", which documents the adventures of Flurry Heart as she makes friends and faces new and familiar villains, some of which may still be redeemable.

It’s been a long time since I saw Once Upon a Forest, but I think that music track is perfect for the horror that awaits Equestria, with the real Grogar beginning to regain power. This is an interesting take on where he’s been all this time, not just weakened from his Bell being taken away, but actually sealed inside it, and the Trio’s defeat released him. The Father of Monsters has returned…
I can understand Spike’s worries about leaving Flurry and her friends by themselves, but he and Buttercream also deserve to celebrate their birthday with their dragon family and friends. Good to know they’ve kept contact with Lily and Aster, and that Billow’s joining them too. Sounds like they’ll have a great time.
Judging by the cover, though, it’ll be a good thing that Cozy decides to join her friends, if Grogar intends to work his wickedness on them…

Spike is going to be a little paranoid in this episode, but he'll do the best he can to get his mind off of the kids and enjoy this night. And while they don't have the same birthday (Spike was hatched a few days earlier than Butter), they are taking this chance to celebrate their birthday tonight with their dragon sibs and a few of Butter's old friends. They're gonna have one heck of a night, especially Billow and Scorch! :3

I did the best I could to evoke the fear that scene instills in people, that's why I linked that track from Once Upon a Forest, because it's the perfect music to imagine when the ghost of an ancient evil is creeping forth from its slumber.

He has an extrasensory power that allows him to deal with ghosts and spirits (also I’m a Prince of Persia fan, deal with it.) Not mention he has space-warping abilities and has went up against a time-wielder.

Nice start for sure. Its good to see where Grogar came from. Funny how the Elements of Harmony essentially released him. Hopefully, he'll get expelled before the sleepover can be ruined too much.

Yeah, that's why the power of Harmony didn't turn them to stone, but Discord's use of his powers like that only fed Grogar.

Nice opening to this story. So Grogar was accidentally freed years ago, back when the Legion was defeated by the Elements and sealed by Discord and the princesses. Ironic, they defeated their biggest foes at the time while unknowingly releasing an even bigger threat. Not to mention before the final battle Twilight said if anything happened to her and her friends Flurry would be Equestria's last hope, but now Eauestria will need to rely on Flurry and her own friends years later.
It is nice Spike and Buttercream are going to celebrate their birthday with their dragon family. They definitely deserve to have them in their lives and celebrate together. Unfortunately, Spike might end up regretting leaving Flurry and the others alone once he gets back and finds out what they are about to go through.

References aside, I'm looking forward to the interactions between Spike's and Butter's friends! Can't wait to see Lily's, Aster's, and Pansy's aged-up forms! And I have a feeling there'll be some interesting exchanges between Aster and a certain draconequus!

I suggest offering some more detailed descriptions of the established group of main characters in the future. It is already established in the show who Flurry Heart is, and that Pound and Pumpkin are the offspring of Mister Cake and Misses Cake. It can easily be inferred that Apple Chip is the offspring of Big Macintosh and Sugar Belle due to her name, and with them being married for more than 9 years after this story takes place. However, some things do not seem clear with the other characters.
Cozy Glow was never shown to have any familial connection in the show, and that it could be implied that she was a neglected orphan. Being a young, misguided filly, I can understand why Twilight and any other authorities would let Cozy Glow free under supervised care, while still warranting the arrest of the fallen Changeling Queen Chrysalis and the Demon Centaur Tirek. However, I feel that there still is plenty of character development and relationship building that should at least be mentioned. I find it hard to believe that Cozy Glow would be part of a friend circle after somehow (not described) being freed from her stone statue, given her known character.
Additionally, I am also confused by the phrase "Spike and... his siblings". It was established in the show that Spike's abandoned egg was somehow obtained by another unnamed pony and later hatched artificially by Twilight. With no further traces back to Spike's origin, it was presumed that Spike was an orphan. Did Spike get adopted by an adult dragon and meet his fostered siblings? Did Twilight adopt four other young dragons? Or are these siblings simply close friends of Spike who are of a similar age? Again, mentioning such details are important when writing characters in alternate settings.
As for the rest of the group on young pony original characters, it is fine to just say that they are all friends and leave it at that for now. There is plenty of time to establish their characters and their relationships with each other in future chapters. However, if there are some important details about them that the audience should show, I would suggest briefly mentioning these details. Some readers, such as myself, may not have read the stories that introduce these OCs, if such stories even exist. Unless it is stated that such stories should be read first to understand this story, it would be the job of the writer to account for this.
Beyond this confusion I have about a few details, everything else about the writing seems ideal. The scene was setup very well in a short introduction chapter, and the story premise seems very promising. I look forward to seeing this story finished, judging by the quality of some of your other work that I have read.
Looking at this picture it looks like cozy is gonna be our hero for this story. The only worrying thing about that is given her last grogar might try to convince her to become evil again. Not that she would, she has her mother now and is finally happy. She deserves love too after hurting for so long and melody loves her daughter to death. Every child yearns for their parents love. It makes you think why did no one ask Cozy about her parents in the show. She’s an orphan so how did she enroll or what was she doing during parent teacher day. Does she have anything to remember them by or does she have no memory of them at all. Why didn’t anyone look into her background to see where she came from or who was taking care of her before she came to ponyville. So many unanswered questions but I suppose they didn’t give her parents or a guardian so no one could object to her being imprisoned in tartarus first or turned to stone. Imprisoning her was never the right way to handle cozy. You can punish her for what she did but you cannot put her in a place that’s gonna make her worse and not better. She was freed and went to wanting revenge against the ponies who put her their and it’s their own fault Cozy wants to hurt them. Celestia and Luna locked a fucking foal in hell and expected no repercussions. Are they insane. Why does Luna not want to help cozy glow when she has been show to help ponies like the cmc with their problems and even says it’s her duty to help ponies with their problems in the dream realm. Wouldn’t she see herself in the filly and feel she has an obligation to help her. That fucking hypocrite. Is community service not an option here. Have cozy fix the damage she caused with tirek and chrysalis. There’s multiple benefits to that. Firstly and most obviously it benefits equestria and the ponies don’t have to fix the problems themselves. Second Cozy realizes how her action can affect the lives of other but feels better because she can help them by working with tirek and chrysalis to fix the damage they caused. She would actually feel bad for hurting families who are just trying to raise kids like her and she’d feel a yearning to have that. To have parents who love her and a real family. Thirdly Ponies might actually start to believe Cozy is turning over a new leaf and if some ponies find out she has no parents there would be at least one family wanting to taker her in after seeing how much of an effort she is putting in to help correct her mistake. Maybe pinkie would adopt her or fluttershy. Chrysalis and tirek would probably realistically adopt her though. A fanfic about pinkie adopting Cozy would be nice though since they both like to bake and could build a connection that way. She probably earned how to bake cupcakes from her. I also feel like pinkie would be not as hateful towards Cozy for what she did. As say someone like applejack or maybe rainbow dash. She just doesn’t seem like the type to hold a grudge and that’s why I’d pick her to reform cozy as well as other factors like how she has the most experience caring for children and can be very motherly even if they test her patience. She knows how to be firm but not hateful. As she knows there only kids. Now I just want to see pinkie adopt cozy. Wow this was long, Sorry about that.

I had only read some of your older stories that I found, which did not involve your series with Flurry Heart. I simply was unaware that these details were already established in other stories and that I was missing something.

Maybe you had read some of "Age of the Alicorns: Chaos Rising", though that one admittedly isn't as well-written since I was pretty new to doing fanfics back then, so I wasn't sure if you meant older ones or more recent ones. Well in any case, yes, I have established everything you've brought up and it will make more sense if you read them in order. This story is the start of Season 2 of this series. It all starts with the one I linked earlier, "Elements Assemble" which starts off with Flurry coming to Ponyville to start her summer.
Okay this is actually pretty good setup for the story here so this is the previous episode of season 9 finale and yeah after using the Bell it looks like gorgar finally got free and he is waiting to strike while absorbing the magic few years ago after the event of Christmas attack it looks like they are finished with the tree house that they planted where the Golden Oak used to be and flurry hearts and the others are pretty excited and Spike and buttercream are going to visit their folks but spike is a little bit worried about leaving the children but flurry heart wants to be sure him nothing is going to happen ( which unfortunately it will be ) just to ease his worried and once he left it looks like cozy glow wanted to join with them as well and it's always nice to have more friends to join in and it looks like they're going to start the night but unfortunately they don't know the danger it's coming towards them I wonder how this will work out I guess we'll find out next time
