From when I was 12 to when I was about 14, I was a Christian, although probably of a very different sort than you are. So if by "what I’m missing" you mean believing in God or being a Christian, I did both of those. Perhaps you can say that I wasn’t a “True Christian” (whatever that even means), but of course, you can say that no matter what I did or believed.
I never disputed that people’s religions can have profound emotional impacts on them or their lives anyway. That doesn’t necessarily mean I ought to be a Christian. Maybe you don’t know what you’re missing by not believing in Islam.
