Crystal Prep Academy is no school to be known for its gentle atmosphere and friendly people. This goes both for the students learning here as well as for the teachers. In the middle of all the grumpiness and selfishness, Dean Mi Amore Cadanza (or Dean Cadence as she prefers to be addressed) stands as a bonfire of kindness, trying to bring some warmth into the hearts of everyone at the school - a task that can be very exhausting and frustrating from time to time.
Luckily for her, she isn't alone anymore in her attempts to turn Crystal Prep into a friendlier place: Five students have discovered the joy of friendship, and decided to spread it through their school. Whenever they make an experience that teaches them a new lesson about friendship they report it to her - and sometimes, reading about friendship lessons is just what a hard-working dean at a high school needs to refresh a little.
This story is connected to my Shadowbolt stories following up "Let's go, Shadowbolts!" Each chapter includes the friendship report to a story. It will be uploaded one or two days after the corresponding story is finished.
From small beginnings do great changes come and every Princess must have her Faithful Student.
This is such a cute way to end every story, just these little friendship reports. I like how you are putting this in the format of a typical episode of MLP. I hope to see more :)
Another amazing work, as usual.:D
Man, I miss the Friendship Reports... 'Dear Princess Celestia' was one of my favorite memes from back in the day,

6697653 To be fair, if the friendship reports would have continued for five seasons they would have become tiresome at some point.
6695009 And deans, too ;)
6697744
Naaaaaaaaah......
... Okay yeah, maybe a little,
Should be 'glance' and 'from time'
Should be 'podium' I believe.
I don't mean to be an asshole but these really stood out for me.
Also, I think the only reason Cadence hasn't quit yet is because she knows she's the only voice of reason in the faculty and the students would suffer even more if she left,
6762705 Thank you! And don't worry, I'm always happy if people point out mistakes :)
XDDDD That's just hilarious how you ended it. XDDD
A nice touch that the Siege of the Crystal Empire is an RPG scenario in the Human World.
6767084 "Dungeons & Dorks" could also be considered a rather lose interpretation of Dragonshy
She makes a point, but she's overdoing it. As I said before, there's only so much humans can do, they're not all geniuses, and if you push them past the breaking point, things are going to go badly.
This is fun.
lol Love that ending there. XD Though, there were a few easily fixed mistakes. Guess it hasn't been editted yet though? Would make sense.
Still though, love these epilogues to each arc you write. Really helps show how much the girls are changing the school.^^
Trendy, AJ isn't even anywhere near Crystal Prep today. You need to hold it together, man, or they're going to end up committing you!
Not so above it all, eh, Cinchy?
7045186
Cinch is only human, with all of the good and bad that entails. Plus, pudding.
You know I wonder why Cinch is still principal because of the events that happened at the FG it makes me wonder why Cadence hasn't pulled a coup eta on her and take over as principal,
lol Loved that ending. Cute.
The Magic of Friendship is for all... Besides Pudding Tuesday was a landmark of Cinch's time as a student of Crystal Prep too!
wow, even Cinch, the pudin is POWERFULL!!!!
This was a nice little follow-up to A Stellar Performance. It brings the Friendship Report back in fluidly, and really fits into the Equestria Girls' side of things with modern day conveniences such as emails and printing them out. It's also nice that the Friendship Report helps Cadence deal with her job stress. Knowing her private pupils are learning is a bit of a relaxer.
As for the timetable, Cinch is going to make those students' brains explode from exhaustion. This cannot be good for their mental health.
That was a really funny letter. I loved how the Shadowbolts essentially used the email as a chat room.
It's sweet that Dean Cadence kept that character sheet. I'm surprised that Shining hasn't invited her for another round. Friendship Games indicated their chemistry, but we don't know how far along they are in their relationship. That could be something to explore in a later story possibly, and the Shadowbolts try to help it move along?
Wait, was the Casual Friday thing already in the school handbook to begin with, and the students still wore uniforms all the time? I wouldn't be surprised if Cinch had something to do with that, but that is sneaky.
Also, had a brief laugh at overalls boy. Taking the new casual Friday lengths to extremes!
7154520 No, that part was just added after the events of the story.
I don't really eat pudding anymore, but I can see that the pudding is powerful. No wonder everyone went nuts. Looking forward to future stories! :)
The Magic of Friendship can melt even the heart of Cinch the Grinch herself-provided it has pudding as a backup.
Pudding is the answer to everything
To be honest, I'm not a fan of pudding... but this story was great. XD
Cinch´s "teaching plan" is setting up for a colossal disaster, isn´t it?
Shouldn´t the school board intervene before things get out of hand?
Zest, Dear, this gentleman asks to see you

Will King Sombra be appearing in this story?
D'awww...... Adorable.^^
Yeah, this teaching plan is going to end in disaster all on its own.
Also, that ending was interesting - was she just saving it for later, or couldn't stand to listen to it? XD
I don't think it is entirely plausible that Lemon could have such poor written English at CPA. Either she 'lets her hair down' for personal emails (does her service have a character limit?) or maybe someone like Sunny Flare proofs her work before it is submitted.
They must be good if Cadence wanted to keep their first ever track. Or maybe it's what the CD represents - Five of her students playing together with something very rare at CPA: Harmony.
There's nothing and no-one like Sugarcoat to free you of rose-tinted memories of your past. Frankly, she's glad to no longer be dealing with a high-IQ borderline-personality to get spending money anymore.
My suggestion as to how to get the bakery club restored: "We lost and you react to this by shutting down the club? Ought you not be riding on them a bit harder to improve standards instead? What's the message otherwise - 'Crystal Prep are quitters'?"
Here I thought we were building to Cadence deciding she wanted a baby so you could later introduce Flurry Heart to the story.
Good job Sugarcoat; you're a natural contraceptive,
lol Nice slap to the face by Sugarcoat's letter there. XD
I'm nitpicking a bit, and I'm probably TOTALLY biased, but Cadence's reaction at the end doesn't really feel believable to me. It feels way too cynical and short-sighted, especially in comparison to her reactions to the other friendship reports. I just feel like Cadence's reaction to her sudden reality check probably would have been more similar to "Hmm, I guess every job has it's ups and downs. I know being a dean is hard now, but so was babysitting back when I was a teenager. The good memories were so worth it, though. Maybe years later I'll look back on being a dean with lots of good memories about helping my students. (faces pile of work with newfound determination) This will be totally worth it someday." Does Sugarcoat just somehow magically make everyone who comes in contact with her words more cynical or something? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Cadence's faith in humanity and all that is good in life was stronger than that. How else does she manage to work so long at that school without turning into Cinch?
I'm sorry if I sound critical or disappointed, but I really wanted to like this, and I'm kind of upset that I'm finding it hard to like.
7895695 I appreciate the critique, and you're right, it's one of my weakest endings. Your idea is actually a lot better.
7895743 Maybe you had spent so much time writing Sugarcoat that you accidentally transferred some of her cynicism on to Cadence. It happens.
Your first Shadowbolt story was actually one of the first stories I read and followed on this site, so reading now the end of this crazy series makes me a bit emotional
Thanks for these great stories
Thanks a ton for making these. It kinda sad to see this series ends cause I've greatly enjoyed these but still. Thanks again. If you ever decide to make another story I'll be sure to check out. If not then take care.
Your shadowbolt stories were quite entertaining. It sucks that this is the last one, but at least you ended on a good note.
Great work!!
That was hilarious and adorable.^^ I'll very much miss your works, honestly.
Let's face it, it wouldn't be the Shadowbolts if they weren't literally bickering about everything. Okay, I'm obviously going to have to off to find and read the story about the Gala to understand this but, nonetheless, I think you did a great job capturing the characters' personalities.
This was nice. I like that these reports get their chance to shine.
I really do appreciate these letters. They do a nice job characterizing the Shadowbolts.
What a dork at the end there
Whoa, Cinch. Are you being friendly?
I appreciate your dedication to the characters in these chapters. That was about what I expected Lemon's letter to look like, and it had to be painful to write.
