Well we certainly did better! I didn’t exactly double my goal but I am now not behind on either project. I did eat up all the lead I had gained over the days so I’ll have to make sure to replenish it in the coming day.
For today’s topic here’s a question: how popular/good at art do you think one has to be to get one of those vender booths at pony cons? Because that’s been a dream of mine for a very long time but, like, I’m obviously not that good at art and I’ve never even done any sort of commission stuff! So how good do I got to be? What kind of audience do I got to have? And how do I get such an audience….
I don’t mean like ‘what will the vendor booths accept’ because I’m pretty sure it’s anyone that will pay them. These are very vague questions with probably vague answers but it’s been something I’ve been musing for a while. I at least need to be good enough to take commissions I think… hmmm
Writing advice: Talking out your stuff with others will help you understand your story better. And if you don’t have someone try the rubber duck method! Literally talk to a rubber duck. It’ll help.
Okay, see you tomorrow, love you, bye bye
How many commissions have you had? If it's zero, then start working on that and building a small audience. I haven't seen your art though, so it's tough to judge.

Haha very much zero! I think only very recently have I gotten any semblance of 'good'. Perhaps I could try now though... put those feelers out...

I can only describe my experience in getting paid writing commissions. The secret was I had to go out and find people who wanted them done. Granted, we're talking about
adultones.
