Day 6: Here's some stuff! · 4:46am Nov 30th, 2022

You know, Davenport might be on to something after all.

Speaking of Segways, this Jinglemas story is probably the most time I've spent on any individual story, and that amoun of time will only increase up until the fat lady sings. I promised to you guys, the Fimfic void, but mostly to myself, that I'd write 200 words a day on average, yet I have nothing to show for it.

So, here's a tribute, it's not the Jinglemas story, but it is a snippet of something I think is pretty alright nonetheless:

Yes, SugarCube Corner was a fairy tale. A reminder to foals throughout all of Ponyville, to the mares and stallions that raised them, and even to the most cynical of creatures, that in some pockets of the world, amongst lives of hardship, there truly was kindness. Kindness could be found with a candled cupcake roof and gingerbread roofing, where a sweet smell would lead you right up a set of gumdrop stairs.

Fairy tales, however, were only known in their current forms after countless generations of telephone to parse out the scares and leave nothing more than easily digestible moral lessons. SugarCube Corner was a fairy tale in the way it reminded ponies of the magic within the kindness and compassion for others, the same kindness that rewarded clumsy damsels who couldn’t manage to keep on their glass slippers and foals that needed to cross through wolf-laden forests for the sake of their grandmother.

Today, though, SugarCube Corner was a reminder that houses that looked tasty enough to eat were originally designed to fatten up unknowing children and cook them into stew. That was the only viable explanation for why Pinkie Pie would ever create an All-You-Can-Eat Dessert Buffet.

If anyone's willing to lay down any comments, I'm mainly wondering if this kind of thing is an introduction that makes people want to keep reading or if it's what one would classify as "boring bullshit".
