    Retrospective

    Hi everyone,

When I started The Mare in the Warp, 8 years and a half ago, I wanted to prove to myself that I could write a big story and finish it. Past me was naive and didn't realise how big this story would be and the amount of work it would require, but still did its best. The pace is a mess, the character progression is awful at times and there are SO. MANY. TYPOS.

    See you later crocodile

    Hi folks
I'm taking a break. Don't know if it will be definitive or temporary. I won't go into details so here's the summary:

    • I'm tired and busy with way too many projects. I have to stop some of them.
    • I'm tired of how little reactions my stories get.
    • I am disappointed in my current stories on this website.

Change of plan: Taking a break

Life was a bitch to me this week. So the chapters are coming out today, and I'll be on hiatus for a couple of months. Take care everyone!

    See you later.

Eight crepe-flipping years · 2:29pm May 15th, 2023

Hey folks

Next week's my birthday. It will also be The Mare in the Warp's anniversary. Eight years. Eight crepe-flipping years since I started working on a personal project to prove to myself that I could write a long story and stick to it and finish it.

When I started I thought it would be a 20-50k stories and that it would take 6 months, maybe a year to write.

Many things happened. I rewrote the first chapters a few times, lost work, changed direction for the story, added extra bits with Battle Reports, fell into heavy depression several times... I even went to jail. The story is creeping its way into 100k-word territory, and it still isn't finished.

And yet I'm still here. I guess it's a success in itself. I stuck to it for almost a decade. I proved myself that I could work on a project for year and not give up. Now there's only one thing to do: finish it. The next chapter is on its way. Hopefully I can release it before the end of the month. Realistically it will be done somewhen in June.

Hope life treats you fairly.
