Literally, Reckless. Ponies give this sorrel mare purpose. Be kind. Be happy. Be a good pony. 🐎 1948 - 2024

    Colder Clouds

Hi again! It’s been a while, I know.

This is Colder Clouds. She’s a small one. But if you know me, I lean toward writing succinct, and I feel ‘okay’ at it. I wouldn’t say she’s packed quite as densely as Iridium, but I’ve marked her as a sister story.

Guess it's another quiet end of the year for this pony. I hope it's a good quiet for you.

Most of my work is occurring in a greentext writing style, right now. It’s easy to pour out some happy thoughts in green-paced set pieces. I’ll DM you if you’d like to read some things about bats, bits about OCs of mine and friends, Reckless in Training, and maybe my attempts at NSFW/more vitriolic works.

Pretty Pony Pictures of Mine [against] Emptiness and Self-Hate

I had a lot of free time these last two weeks. Took some time off from real world concerns to spend time with pony friends. To celebrate a particular 13th anniversary. To plan for the year ahead, and all the exciting turns pony might take me next.

Moonsilver · 12:23am Jun 5th, 2023

If you’ve read the story already, then I hope you’ll give Many Mirrors by Norris a look. Like my fic, it’s an entry to the latest A Thousand Words Contest, and it’s very particular with regard to how ponies treat history.

If you liked the burdens of Moonsilver, you’ll like the chains of Many Mirrors.

I was told Moonsilver was a ‘very high concept story to be doing in 1k’, but I was adamant I could make it happen. Likewise, I was also told I’m ‘artsy’. Whatever the case, I’m certain, now—again, after a great deal of time to develop my way of thinking—that I’ve made up for the years of disservice I’ve left for Luna: despite her being my absolute all-time favorite pony in the world-building of FiM’s Equestria, I have only just recently gathered the confidence to do her justice.

I’m finding that Luna’s stories are best told in ways that show she was never truly alone, or forgotten. The past is so very important to her character, and its only right that she has ponies who care about history, both in the contexts she inhabited, and the memories she held dear. I’ll still admit that there’s a lot more I could have touched on. At the same time, much of it has been done before, but I wanted to find what may have been missed by writing this story. I’m happy with it, and I hope you like what I’ve delivered.

Sorry if I come off as a bit pretentious. Just trying to be honest and genuine. I hope you care about these ponies as much as I do.

Because I think it’s too minute a detail to spot:
Luna’s section is 414 words; Celestia’s section is 415 words.
