Short answer: hell yeah!
I haven't seen a new generation or anything yet, I've spent more time playing Unreal Tournament 2004 with the ballistic weapons mod, oh my god, it feels like a totally different game but much better, has me addicted hahaha 
. And reading the G4 official comic books, they are damn good!
As I was saying, I do have faith that this new generation will not be disappointing and may even can be better than G4, who knows, I think it's just in its first season, we'll have to wait until at least 3 are released, to make a fairer comparison.
We can't just be "stuck" on the G4, I understand some people may not like it for certain reasons, but there are some who just don't like it because of the thought "Everything new that comes out from now on is bad" without even giving it a chance.
Friendship is magic already needed a change, believe me when I tell you that it's better that the show ended once and for all if it wasn't just going to continue declining, it's precisely what we don't want.
