Hey, everypony! So school is almost over for me. Finals are next week and afterwards, I’m FREE!! That means, I’ll be using this time to go all in on my content like never before, which includes releasing the A New Generation defense video. But if you thought analysis/commentary videos are the only thing you’ll be getting the holiday season, boy, are you all wrong. I have another treat cooked up for all you hardcore fans who have stuck with the Misty Saga until the very end, and you’re going to love what it is. So following the modest success of my Halloween music video, I decided that there was one more thing I could give you all as a reward for following this beautiful journey since the very beginning. What is it? Well, I’m glad you asked!
I will be adapting six scenes from the whole series into live action!
Yes, you heard that right. You thought all that merchandise (more incoming this Christmas, hopefully) was just going to be sitting on shelves collecting dust? Oh no sirree. See, these scenes were written with extreme visual potential and I kinda want to flex my editing skills as well. I’m obviously building up to something bigger I want to do with these toys (though the exact nature of this project isn’t going to be revealed yet until I get my main one out of the way), but it always helps to start out small. And writing the Saga was an experience unlike any other for me. So I figured, “Why not see what certain parts from these stories would look like in live-action?” And well…here we are. Now I know some of you may be disappointed that I’m not doing full-on live action remakes for the whole Saga, but I just don’t think I’m there yet. Not only do I not have certain characters or locales, but there are just certain parts that can’t be adapted for obvious reasons. Me being a story writer, I’m obviously given free reign to do what I want, and that includes writing stuff that isn’t always possible to replicate in a visual medium. But certain scenes in isolation can be, and that is the focus of my special holiday gift to all of you.
What scenes will I be adapting? Well, I do have one that I’m absolutely set on, but I want you all to vote on the other five. What scenes would you like to see me bring to life in video form? What sections absolutely spoke to you in a way that triumphs over all the others, and that you’d like to be seen turned into a full-on cinematic scene? Only the best (within reason) get chosen, and this will help me gage on what parts of the Saga meant the most to you. I know it’s tempting to just pick every scene from Redeemed because come on, that story is just action-packed epicness galore incarnate. But I want you all to think more broadly across the whole series as well. Obviously, some scenes from Redeemed will inevitably make the cut, but what about Purpose? The Fall of Opaline? Forgiven? Worthless? What scenes do you think would translate the best to a live-action visualization? What were YOUR favorite scenes from the whole series?
