Across the world today (give or take a few hours) people celebrate the holiday that truly brought together others despite their differences.
Concentrating in their similarities rather than ancient and xenophobic or even theological grudges, the change brought on that date still echoes even today despite our world's continuous history of seeking reasons to fight one another.
For it was in this holiday that, over a thousand years ago the truth was finally seen by those present and since then (although I will grant, not continuously) this appreciation and respect for each other has grown.
I'm talking of course of Hearth's Warming, and it's son/daughter: Jinglemas.
This year my secret giftee was none other than FanOfMostEverything for whom I wrote...
Being that FOME is someone I'm proud to know and I even dare call friend, I wanted to really do something that explored the value of even a single voice being there appreciating what you do or are trying to do.
All of us need someone like that. Someone that just... tells you they enjoyed your work, or gives you hope that what you're doing is worth it because the one person just got it. In this story, Marble needs that. And that person (or pony) is nearby. Sometimes we just need that little push and a leap of faith.
