Settled in Vegas, with my faithful feline furball Blip sleeping peacefully on my bed (and NOT trying to cover the keyboard...). Been a while since I lived on my own, with little support and less companionship. I'm managing. At least I got WHATDG finished, and planning another trip, on a different ship, down a different river, to a different set of problems. First problem is fitting it in between all the doctor visits. VA here is VERY efficient. New glasses next week. It's an hour trip one way to the Northeast Clinic by the bus system (2 buses),and a TWO-hour trip one way to the main VA hospital (3 buses).
Questions with the new tale are 1] what will they stumble into, 2] how will they deal with it and 3] what will I title the damn thing? I mean, LST-325 is not a good title for a story. Eh, I'll think of something. Ideas gracelessly accepted. Yes, I use that word. Have you seen me walk about without my cane, walker or scooter?
One little fact I never knew about Vegas, is that it gets WINDY out here. REAL windy. Something to do with the geography, the weather patterns, et cetera. Boy, that really blows, doesn't it? Drove Scoot to Walgreen's today. Wind at back, great. Wind in face, well, I was not sure I would make it back. Then again, I have not used Scoot in three weeks or more, and it needed charging...
Until next missive. Comments, suggestions, ideas, all welcome. I'll read them for sure. DO anything with them, well, I'll have to read them first, yes?
you have got this friend.
Winds are a spiteful thing. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how I can bike to Albert Heijn one way with the wind in my face, and still have to fight the wind on the way back.
Also, the fact LST hasn't been named, doesn't mean she can't be either, does it? Gotta be worth a chapter at least, and the symbolism can allude to more of what you want with your story.
Best of luck mate,
MM
Hang in there, Alden :D
