happy 40th Birthday MLP · 5:27pm April 15th
"Hi guys, if you don't know MLP has turned 40 years old which is at least 21 years older than me and that's why I made a speech, enjoy" I explained
"Hi my little ponies, it is I Silver Swirl, I have been an enormous fan of MLP for the last 8 or so years, I think I had a skipped school day since I was sick but once I checked my old computer I noticed a MLP finale Episode, a show that I have never seen before and while I didn't enjoy it at first but kept notified tabs of it I began enjoying the show more, so much that I even had toys of it, played a few online games of it and much more, to be fair I still remember that time I first watched MLP, I didn't know I would become such an enormous fan of your show, if I hadn't known about your show, what would've happened, where would I have been?! I'm not sure but thanks to you I enjoyed making MLP stories and began dreaming to be a voice actor, I know it wouldn't work but thanks to you I've made tons of friends, Darth Wrex, Scorch and more, I even enjoyed the many stories here on Fimfiction ranging from crossovers to killing games! I even began writing my own stories like Miraculous Ponies, Total Equestrian Despair and more, I was and am still so thrilled whenever MLP Episodes come out, there may have been a few bad ones but it didn't matter, so long as it entertained me, to see all those happy ponies and when there's a two parter I'm always at the edge of my seat whenever something exciting happens, this is the life I could ever hope for and while I'm not perfect or talented in anyway just know that you are always me and the bronies and pegasisters' fans no matter what! You are what makes Friendship especially Magical, thank you" I thanked
After a few minutes the camera zoomed to my room only to show me in bed holding a tissue and sobbing only to look at the camera
"Go away! I'm too emotional to speak!" I said
MLP turned 40 last year, actually. The line was launched in 1983 globally.

But it started officially in 1984

I presume you're alluding to the release of Rescue at Midnight Castle, which was released in 1984. Hasbro marked the anniversary of the toyline starting with G1 references in Make your Mark; the Troggles returned in one special, whilst the Rainbow of Light turned up in another episode.
