I think this could be done in real life.
At that point, remove the gasbag and just have a proper ornithopter. While the thing about never failing to invent it was a half-assed excuse to reprint the card, engineers who have wings of their own are a much better one.
When you posted this I didn't really know what to write that didn't sound like super generic praise; now every time I scroll through my feed and see the image it makes me laugh like an idiot. It's just too adorable!
But it needs at least one party cannon to count as a proper one-mare invasion force err I mean friendship delegation.
