To the people who said that once you are part of this fandom, you're here forever... you were right. Coming back with a new story. · 8:19am May 19th
Hello, fellow pony enthusiasts. In February, I attempted to quit this site, the brony fandom and the entire fandom culture in general. Usual reasons: I am an adult grown man and writing pony fanfiction is beyond weird for me. I should do normal stuff instead. Well… this didn’t work well, as you see.
After some consideration, thinking and even talking with others about me having a writing hobby , I’ve decided that attempting to quit fanfiction is futile, so I am back here, with a new story.
So, as a part of my attempt to quit fanfiction/gaming/social media, I’ve gone back to reading. I found out I actually enjoy reading books, since they are similar to gaming but almost guilt-free. I read a few interesting books in the time I was away. Eventually, I ended up picking up Tales of the Ketty Jay, (a story that was recommended to me by another brony). I enjoyed it so much, I’ve been thinking about writing a fanfic of it.
At the same time, I was thinking about writing a canon fanfiction, that is a fanfiction that takes place and is a part of my fantasy world (despite my attempt to forget that said fantasy world exists). My previous attempt (Vallorith and the entire Minecraft-related series) ended in failure. So, the logical conclusion is that I can’t write stories, so I should forget about them and find a better hobby, right?
Wrong.
Behold, MLP:G4 X Tales of Ketty Jay X Elder Scrolls X Equestria at War X MLP:G5 X SOL:Dawn X Minecraft mega-crossover (with CK2, EU4 and A Song of Ice and Fire references thrown in)
The story will be a rather short one, just about 30000 words. I already have all of it written and edited. I checked it to make sure it is not cringe. Hopefully I won’t delete it later.
There is only one more story I have in work, and it is a stand-alone one-shot set in the same world that I will write as a part of a contest. After this… I will see. Probably will try to quit again.
For now, I hope you will enjoy my new story.
