So, if anyone cares about what I think of season three so far, I think it's pretty good. I have no strong opinions either way, but I never do about new episodes, except Canterlot Wedding and Mare Do Well, which I loved and despised respectively for reasons that I have stated elsewhere at some point I think.
So far, season three is on par quality wise with season two, and I'm of the camp that prefers two over one, so that's good.
Favourite episode so far is Wonderbolts Academy, just for the villain. Look at Lightning Dust, and then look at the three numbskulls from Sonic Rainboom, and maybe even if you don't agree with me that the last two seasons are better, you'll at least see where I'm coming from.
Least favourite is a draw between Crystal Empire and Too Many Pinkie Pie's. I liked both, but they didn't have anything to really wow me like the others of this season did, especially since I went into Empire expecting an episode on par with Wedding. I would have settled for a Return of Harmony style introduction. Like I said, it was good, I was just expecting better.
That said, I think they're setting up an actual season-long story arc this time. There's way more continuity between episodes than there was in either previous season, and more major changes. Dash being in training to join the Wonderbolts, her relationship with Scootaloo, Babs seems to be being set up as someone important, Luna is being given more prominence, almost as if to remind the younger audience of who she is like she's also going to have a large role later, and then there's that book at the end of Empire.
Plus the lack of development of Sombra as a villain makes me think he'll be back for the season finale too. I think the finale this time is going to be another large event two parter that will bring back a lot of these elements that have been introduced over the season, and make them all relevant and important somehow. I may be way off, but that's my theory. It's the kind of thing I'd expect from Studio B given the way the rest of the season has been going.
Also, I saw this thread screenshot here that claimed to have season three spoilers. I know it's likely bullshit, but damn it, I want this so bad, even if it probably would fuck up the majority of all fics on this site, including mine. It's just such an awesome idea! I can't help it!
So! Other projects.
Wanderer's Diary I continue to work on, and you can expect the next update probably tomorrow. They're really easy to write, actually. You'd be surprised how much faster I can get through those than Human.
Twilight, Season One is my other big project in the works. The first full length chapter is coming closer to completion, and it'll be out soon. I can't reveal any more about it, but I can't be this excited about it and not mention it to people. Hopefully this will be easier to get out than King Machine turned out to be.
And my next release, which could be as early as before the month is out, will be called When Suddenly a Manticore...
I could try explaining what it's about, but I've rewritten this part several times trying to do so, and it cannot be explained in a single paragraph. You'll just have to read it. All I can tell you is that it's a one-shot parody, and that you're all probably aware of the phenomenon it's making fun of, even if not intimately familiar with it.
I think they're overdoing it with the songs. One per episode average.
Only my opinion though.

Because it's based on a game, so a large amount of storyline is already figured out for me. I just have to put the story elements in the right order and insert some comedy. The hardest part is keeping track of all the subplots that result from the original material I add, or stuff that veers further off the game's script.
I'm personally rather satisfied with the season so far. Now and again I wish things weren't necessarily as formulaic or obvious, but I must remind myself that this is still aimed at younger children.
Though I mostly like what I've seen, I'm still was really disappointed in season opener (Sombra was still pretty damn cool, even though he pretty much did nothing), and the Applejack episode. Applejack is on par with Twilight, in my book, for best pony, so I was really amped to see an episode where they develop her, and give her some screen time. I was presented with yet another family lesson from the apples via a basic and predictable plot. Seriously, another family appreciation lesson? Is that all they get used for? Then there was the song. Just had a bad melody, in my opinion. Meh, wasn't ALL bad, but I didn't really learn anything about Applejack, which was the important part. She really needs something equivalent to Rarity's 'Sister Hooves Social' episode.
Also, really excited about another Human chapter. I'll got to go track down King Machine too. I remember you saying it was dark and serious

An Anthology All About Adolf and his Amazing Adventures, that's right.
However, that's not on my immediate list of things to do, particularly because it's a collaboration project. Once I've got some of my other story ideas out there and freed myself up some schedule time, and Draven has done the same, we're going to put out a call and get a whole bunch of people together to help work on it.
The hope is that we can assemble a large group, provide some prompts, and everyone involved, including me and Draven of course, will each write a ten thousand word one-shot based around Nazis and ponies in some way, and post them together on their own separate account as one big anthology story. And it will be the greatest comedy piece ever created.
