Blog blog blog blog. BLOG. BLARG. BLAROG. Blarog the Magnificent. Baron Blarog, Lord of the Blogs & Master of the Blogospheric Domain. Necroblaroginomicon - the Eldritch Guide to necro bumping your own blog (which no one reads.)
Anyway, I've been working on a number of stories. I have three (3, III, 10, 0x3, 0b11) which are in my stories section that are currently not posted. One of them has 20K plus words and will probably never be posted. Another has absolutely zero words and may never be written. The one in the middle is a WIP of about 2K words that may or may not reach critical-posting-mass. I know I like it right now, but that's what I thought about the 20K word story before I realized that it made me want to cry.
I'm thinking about writing maybe 5K words and then making a decision. That way going back over it (and the subsequent realization of just how much it needs to be edited) won't be as tearful as the 20K Piece of Sad (which shall henceforth be referred to as The 2x10^4-PoS - or just POS for short - for absolutely no reason at all.)
For anyone who might accidentally click on my profile for some unknown reason - this (possibly) upcoming story is a mind-screw(ish) tale of one of the Mane 6. It bears a lot of resemblance to one of my first fics (it's by no means a revamp - the idea is completely different, I'm speaking stylistically.) I think it will be a nice journey, personally. It's definitely one of my better ideas in a long time, so hopefully I can carry it along somewhere nice.
As for those other stories - yeah... Those... I'll get around to them eventually; I'm sure. If I had my way, I'd pause the world around me and spend the next year re-writing and finishing all of those stories. I look back and I see a lot of things that I would change, revise, edit, and add; the problem is when I look to the future I don't see a lot of time to do it :P (Now weather this is because of my wholly diligent immersion in school work or the hours I spend playing internet tanks is a different matter.) I like All That We Fall For and Rainy Days, and I think those really deserve more attention than I give / have given them.
In honesty, I just need to sit down some weekend soon and go over them.
Regardless, this post has gone on for too long.
UNTIL NEXT TIME, PONIES.
