Holy cow this episode was even more amazing then "Magic Duel"! I think we've got ourselves a new best episode here!
I don't know if Dave Polsky actually wrote it as I didn't see his name appear in the title credits but whoever did do this did a great job. There's almost nothing I can complain about. Aside from Pinkie Pie's reason about not liking Discord but I'll just brush that off as she doesn't want to admit that she didn't like what Discord did to her.
I really wish the scene involving the activation of the Elements of Harmony had been that cool in "The Return of Harmony" because let me tell you the animation this time around was epic!
John De Lancie was spot on in his performace. He delievered each line perfectly, not that I ever doubted he could.
Like with Trixie Discord didn't just become a goody two shoes and more so than Trixie he didn't completly change. The ending was pretty cool when he title dropped the name of the show. Now I wonder how long it will take for this site to start flooding with Fluttercord ship fics.
Rainbow Dash was written perfectly once again which is good considering this episode pretty much brough back her usual hot tempered atittude. We also got a funny joke about beaver swears, I wonder what the fans assume the beavers were saying.
I really like how we got to see some more interaction between Applejack and Fluttershy as well as Pinkie Pie and Rarity at the start. Those two don't seem to hang out very often.
And for once no one can claim Celestia didn't do something useful. She actually planned ahead and made it so that Discord couldn't simpy steal the elements again.
I definatly feel like this episode despite packing a lot into the time it had could've been strecthed into a two parter and it would've been even better but like with "Magic Duel" it's still a great stand alone episode.
All in all this episode is so good that there should be no excuse as to why you haven't seen it. Nothing I say could do it justice.
My two favorite villains are now antiheros, that dispoints me greatly
all in all a six out if ten. I'm more of a villain then hero person.
