That I can't see the 3D on my 3DS or any 3D in general because I've got a lazy eye.

i have two lazy eyes, but thanks to my evolutionary super powers (aka luck) i can control both (and with some years of practice) and can even do like chameleons to a certain degree, maybe you could try that, afaik the inner muscles can be controlled independently, havent been able with the up/down ones and the ones that turn them to the outer sides.
But i'm no doctor hooves so no guaranties

You're not missing much. The 3D of the 3DS is pointless and gimmicky. When I first got my 3DS, I always had the 3D on. When I burned out on it and stopped playing for a while I couldn't focus my vision properly for days, and my eyes hurt when I tried. I've only occasionally turned it on since.
