Trusting Hasbro · 10:00pm Feb 15th, 2013
Ok, so recently hasbro has... let's face it been punching the fandom in the gut a bit. There are three things that contribute to this and im going to talk about each of them here.
So first off is Alicorn Twilight. The fact that Twilight is becoming an Alicorn does not bother me. It was planned from the start. However, when people say "Alicorn Princess" it irks me. I trust the writers, but calling her an Alicorn Princess just sounds like they will completely flip the series around from what it is usually about.
The cancelation of fighting is magic. Copywright is a big legal issue, and that's why i guess it makes sense that this would happen. It's just a shame that Hasbro would cancel what was going to be such an anticipated idea. Overall, it's not something to truly attack Hasbro for, its just dissapointing.
Equestria girls... NO! My apologies, but... it cant be defended. Hasbro has made bad shows before, they have. The way I see this, it looks to me like people want to give it a chance for the sole purpose of it being pony related. It's meant for a different audience, turns against what most love about mlp, and I dont feel we can just say "trust the writers" on this one.
So that is just my take on all of this stuff Hasbro is getting hate for. I hope i didnt upset many people with the last rant. However, you cant have a rant without rage. This was all just my opinion and you are more than welcome to disagree.
I really feel like Equestria Girls could be good. It's a spin off series that will have no effect on the show we all know and love.

i strongly disagree, but i will try it.
well most people thought the same thing about this mlp generation before they saw it. so ill give equestria girls the benefit of the doubt
830881 If worse does come to worse the show itself will not be affected by it. Personally after seeing a lot of humanized pony stories and fan art I really don't mind it. Especially if it gives us another thing to do to pass the time between seasons.
I'm going to give Equestria Girls a chance. I'm cautiously optimistic.
I'm equally upset that Hasbro LLCs been going after other things, Friendship is Witchcraft as well as the Mentally Advanced series, but it doesn't seem they're "pursuing" them too far. Like you said, it's really disappointing but nothing to attack them over.
