Okay, there's a few things I need to bring to the light.
For starters, what the hell, guys. I started writing a story (obviously) in September. It wasn't anything major, it was just because I had an idea and I felt as if I needed to contribute to the fandom at least a little. So I wrote. And I had nothing planned for the story, at all. There was no me going into this thing thinking, "So I'll have this happen, then this, then this, then it'll be done." There was none of that. You all seem to love a story that started out with no direction. I don't get that.
Second thing is that I really don't deserve what I have here. I mean, seriously; I'm not being ungrateful or anything, because I do appreciate you all, the problem is that there are so many more stories that have actual directions that should be getting more attention. Like, for example, Coltsguy and his fantastic story, Searching for Six Ponies (and Discord if I feel like it). It's a sequel to his first story, "Cause and Effect: Discord's Truth." And, it. is. good! Really! And it has an overall theme and direction! He told me so himself! He is worthy of more praise! GO! GO PRAISE HIM!
And now, something related to me and Ungrounded. The story has an actual direction now. For the first time, I've thought ahead for a few chapters, and I like what I see. The biggest announcement is that it will be continuing beyond the next two chapters for a second story arc. The first one, which I have so lovingly named, "Arc One: Parallels," shall be closing in two chapters. The next chapter isn't even 2,000 words, and it's just a transition to a longer finale of sorts. I know how it's gonna happen, and I've thought out countless ways to make it work. I think I have the right idea now. What this means to you guys is that the next chapter is scheduled to be published for sure on Wednesday, and I don't know when the one after that will be done. Since it will require a bit more thinking on my part, it will most likely take a little longer than usual. After that one's done, I think I'll take a short break for a week or so . . . I don't know. Maybe I will, maybe I won't, we'll just have to see.
Bottom line, shit will be going down, got that? And I believe that this song will fit very nicely with that finale.
