Why Human Stories Aren't Being Banned and You're All Gullible as Hell · 9:32pm Apr 1st, 2013
Poultron has obviously pulled an absolutely troll-tastic April Fools prank on all of you who were stupid enough to buy into it.
Let me explain the reasons as to why this is apparent to me:
Were Poultron to actually be serious about banning "Human" stories, his official post about it would be a lot more serious and in depth as to the specific details—it would not be the brief paragraph we got that basically said the following:
"O HAI GAIS GESS WAT DERE WIL B NO MOAR HUMEN STORYS ALOUD ON DAH SITE BCUZ I SED SO JUTS NAO LOL W/E IDUN CAER KTHXBAI" —DAH ÜBER FUHRER POULTRON!!!11(one)
...Were he to have phrased it like this, the joke might have actually been pretty funny. Alas, he tried to sound serious about it without actually sounding official, and we got a largely unfunny prank that brewed up massive shitstorms instead.

Now, as an admin, were this a serious announcement, he'd actually take the time to explain the why and what of it, which would be completely warranted given how serious this moderation action would be were it actually true. And were this a serious announcement, Poultron would not have announced it on goddamned April 1st like a total dumbshit nooblord. I generally assume that he's an intelligent person with enough common sense to realize that people will not take him seriously if he posts something this suspect on a holiday where one is expected to deceive others for the LOLs (...except for the incredibly gullible, panicky ones who take everything for face value because they don't think things through).
Also, I really don't think Poultron's a colossal idiot who would shoot himself this badly the moment he gained head administration privileges. By banning one of the most popular and prolific story categories on the site, especially in the flippant, nonchalant, and spontaneous manner as he did the "official announcement", he would not be making too many friends...
Need I remind you that there are a substantial group of HiE fans hailing from 4chan boards like /MLP/? Many of which write, support, and subscribe to "Human" tagged stories? Said individuals who would likely become quite perturbed about Poultron's sudden banning of "Human" stories on this site? Individuals who come from a loosely-organized group that may or may not have the capability to DDoS and hack private servers en masse?

It is my humble opinion that Poultroun would only be begging for trouble by actually pulling a stunt like this.
So, this is why I'm positive it's all—
I mean, the probability of it being true is—statistically—vastly lower than the chances of it just being a flamboyantly troll-erific prank.
—But hey, go ahead and believe whatever you want. 
You're more than allowed to panic, rage, worry, and complain all you want. Just don't bother me, I don't want any of it.
And if we are all somehow living in an alternate universe where it turns out to be a true announcement that was horrendously planned and executed, no biggie. We human advocates still have options, like petitioning. And if that doesn't work and we're out of options, we could also just flood the queue with so many HiE stories that Poultron couldn't handle them all in a timely fashion.
...Although this is an absolutely hilarious idea in theory, it is kinda dickish to do to the site, because it would greatly inconvenience everyone else who is trying to legitimately post their stories.
Anyways, if it really came down to it, and Poultron was steadfast in his anti-human dickery, we could always make an alternate FIMfiction exclusively intended for FIM stories with humans in them. Although this is kind of an inconvenience, if it comes to this we'll just cope with the change because we're awesome like that.
I'm fairly certain that most of those individuals are playing along/bandwagoning/RPing.
At the very least, I know a fair amount of them are.

Oh sure, I agree. Many were treating it as the terrible joke it is.
...But I am generally able to tell who is hamming it up and who is seriously crying "HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN ?!"
...And there are a surprising number of people who seemed to be either ambiguous enough to be suspect or are outright buying into this garbage like it is an actual legit announcement.
