Hi guys! I gots a new idea, how doth it sound?

How are you today? I know I'm great! :D
Anyway, I have this new story called Friendship is Magic: The True Story, and it's about this alicorn queen named Aurora Ishtar Estrella, or literally the Sun, the Moon and the Stars - an alicorn of pure white, her mane fiery orange with streaks of dark blue and white. One of her eyes was orange, the other deep blue. She was mostly light, but she had a dark side, and this balanced out 42-ness, or everything.
She ruled over the original Equestria, long before the days of Celestia and Luna. This original world was way more awesome than the Equestria we know today (the one in the show), and its inhabitants were light ponies, who were as bright as the sun; shadow ponies, made from inky black darkness; and star ponies, the peaceable, blazing-whites who loved to sing.
You're closest to the star ponies today in the Realm of the Stars, which is where Twilight became a princess...but I digress, that's not till later - and it's not later yet. Anyway...
Oh, and these light ponies, shadow ponies and star ponies? They were all alicorns.
So Aurora ruled over this Equestria for a millennium...and then a dark spirit arose. Her name? Nightmare Moon.
Nightmare had only one intention: To overthrow Aurora and claim the mighty kingdom-of-the-heavens for herself, reigning in almighty darkness. She and Aurora clashed in a crazy-awesome, super-epic battle of light and darkness...but as I mentioned earlier, Aurora had darkness inside of her, and when suddenly her strength began to fail her, Nightmare seized her chance and caught hold of that darkness.
Aurora fell that day, but as she fell she spread her wings wide and out of them sprang two alicorns, one white, the other blue...Celestia and Luna. The two sisters shot upwards, then plunged toward...the star ponies, who caught them up...and there was a bright flash. Then everything went black.
When Aurora opened her eyes, she beheld a new world, a slowly spinning globe of bright colors: The new Equestria. It was beautiful, and yet, Aurora mourned the loss of her world, with its even brighter shades and glory. There were no more light ponies - they had merged to become the sun - or shadow ponies, who had all merged with one star pony to become the moon. The star ponies were the only ones that had remained, and they stood with Aurora in the heavens gazing down upon this world.
And there was another thing that had Aurora dismayed: The alicorn species was all jumbled up! Some ponies had a horn and no wings (thus they were called unicorns), some had wings and no horns (pegasi) and some had neither horns nor wings (earth ponies).
Aaaaand...the rest is history.

Until the Equestrian Wars, which take place a year after Twilight becomes a princess.

But that's still not until later.

So, how'd you like this idea? Feel free to criticize - as long as it's constructive - and be sure to tell me what you liked/didn't like. I may be posting the first Book, Genesis, which tells what I told above, soon.
But I have to write it first.
