My Official Review of the "Equestria Girls" Trailer · 2:22am May 13th, 2013
Alright, so I watched the Equestria Girls trailer, as I'm sure many of you have, and here is what I have to say:
It wasn't bad. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. It looked a bit too Monster High-y, but I can't complain. It is of course aimed towards children, we can't expect them to only cater to us and our wants/needs, they need to think about the rest of the audience. I'm assuming it was AU, since I didn't see Twilight with any wings,. When I saw her meeting Pinkie there, I'm like "What the Fuck? I didn't see Pinkie go through, so the only logical explanation is that Pinkie can break the fourth motherfucking wall." Then I saw the rest of the Mane Six and the CMC and I said "Alright, they just ran in after Twilight."
But I do have a bit of a problem with Spike being a dog. Like, seriously? He couldn't be a human too? You had to alienate him THAT much? Come on Hasbro.
Anyways, I give this trailer 6.5 out of 10. Like I said, wasn't bad, but wasn't great. I will watch the movie if it comes to my town, and if not, maybe I'll persuade a brony friend or two to drive me into the city. (Looking at you InfiniteGates, you can take Daysha if you really want to.)
