So long, and thanks for all the fics.

Eeyup, I'm going. Why? Because my grades have gone down because of this site. I got 38% in a maths exam.
So I am leaving here, leaving the internet until I get my life back on track.
I will not be on Skype, I will not be on Steam.
I will not be back for a long time. Well, I... might... log in every now and then, but I really shouldn't.
    Have a good life everyone,
    Bye.

Has anybody seen Equestria Girls here?

If so, without spoiling anything, was it good? I haven't gone to any of the EqG threads because spoilers, so...

HOH MAH GAWD I LOVE JUDGE JUDY THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME

*enthusiastically dives in*
[grammar mistake] [grammar mistake]

[grammar mistake] [grammar mistake]

[grammar mistake] [grammar mistake]

“Golden Leaf.” She said at last.

I keep seeing mistakes like this frequently throughout the fic. I find it hard to believe that such a big author such as yourself doesn't know better.
"Golden Leaf," she said at last.
That is grammatically correct.

I said that, see.

>> DaemoN67 I've read books that have both in them. A comma to me means they are pausing and have more to say, and a period means they are done talking for the moment. Its not a mistake I make frequently, Its what I do 100% of the time.

Yes, Aegis said that.

And thus showing that just because an author has more than 3,000 followers doesn't mean they know their shit. Despite coming up with great stories (ignoring grammar), Aegis is now in my books a complete idiot. And if anyone wants to challenge my correction, come at me. I will cite multiple sources that are not Wikipedia.

EDIT: Yes, I did colour in my downvote. I coloured it in for aesthetics. If you look closely you can still see a bit of red.

*facepalm*
Have you asked if he has read the writing guide on this site?

So I went and read the story, (big mistake) and I completely agree with you. Though my big thing was the paragraphs, or lack there of. Especially before and after speech.

I also web to his user page and found this:

Education: Literature/English/Teaching Degree (BIS)
Job: Publisher's Printing Company

I laughed. I also feel sorry for the people he is "teaching."

1136966
What's the point? He wouldn't listen.
1137018
He's a secretary at the printing company LELELELEL
He has the credentials to teach, but it doesn't say he is teaching, thank your choice of deity.

1137025
I now feel sorry for the publishing company since there are more than likely some people who have gotten stuff from him and thought the company was full on idiots.

Calling someone a "complete idiot" for a minor grammatical error is kinda spiteful, don't you think? :ajbemused:

1137047
Not when they do it frequently throughout the entire fic and ignore me when I point this out.

I don't really agree with your methods, but, I'll be avoiding this fic. :facehoof:

1137059
I assume this is the case with all his stories.

1137059 I think it's more like a misunderstanding. I look at explanations of the rule and I can see how someone can think that way. Ignoring corrections is still not ok but I think "complete idiot" is a little extreme.

1137113 nah it's totally reasonable

1137113
Aegis Shield is only popular because he can come up with ideas so interesting that people are willing to suffer through his terrible writing. His problems go beyond poor grammar. His stories do many sinful things like speaking directly to the reader, making pointless references to events in the show, and ill-placed jokes. Just look at this review to see how awful of a writer he is.

1137214 Hey I never said he was good.

Sadly, this sort of thing is often found amongst the popular authors. Their story concepts are good and have so much potential, hell, it could be the best story idea you've ever fucking seen, but their poor writing will just screw it so bad that you'll have to give it a downvote. And some people actually suffer through the chapters because they can put up with it. Ergo, they follow said author, author gains popularity and the whole process repeats itself.

1137047 It is internet, it was actually pretty normal.

1137065 I completely agree with his methods :rainbowkiss:

1137113 He showed in many, many cases that he is a complete moron. This is just one of them.
Seriously, just look at his blogs. I am not sure if he is trolling or needs help.

1137367 But I'm not talking about those many cases. I talking about this case, the one being addressed.

1137372
He was still a stupid twat in this case c:

1137372 This one case does not change the fact that he sucks c:
