    *checks watch* Oh. It's 2014.

It would seem that my penchant for authoring quasi-satirical stories about colorful equines has come to a... gradual decline.

I didn't feel comfortable writing anything new until that whole "Twilight gets wings" story arc was settled. That was back in the middle of 2012. Now it's the middle of 2014--and I'm still waiting!

    The Antichrist Arrives Gangnam Style!

It seems we have a new prophet foretelling the coming of the Antichrist--and it's revealed to him through Gangnam Style:

This guy's 100% serious, and it's arguably even more ludicrous than my story about the Antichrist being foretold through My Little Pony.

    Poe's Law strikes again.

Andrea Libman and "My Ride to Conquer Cancer"

In recent months, I've intentionally stayed away from the fan fiction scene to focus on more important things in life. However, after watching last weekend's Everfree Northwest event, I feel the need to step in for a moment and express my desire to see Andrea Libman's "My Ride to Conquer Cancer" fundraiser endeavor become a success.

    Turmoil in the Toybox

I try not to post to this blog too often, but I feel compelled to share this story.

I was watching the American Idol finale yesterday, and the winner ended up being Phil Phillips. Phil Phillips. Where had I heard that name before?

Don't drink and write and fan fiction...

...or you may just end up writing a My Little Pony shipping fic. That's what happened to me just now.

On the other hand, the drinking method seemed to work out pretty well for the guy who wrote The Lost Weekend, so... I guess what I'm trying to say is drink all you want (within legal boundaries, of course, kiddies).

Fan Fiction vs. Canon · 12:36pm Mar 31st, 2012

Note: I changed my username from Biyomon to Vulpix. Vulpix is the name I use for almost all of my other online activity, including the Equestria Forums and Youtube.

As of today, I have another new, complete story, and I'm dying to publish it. I know it's been a long time, but I'm finally at a point where I'm satisfied with the end result. I even commissioned cover art. Here's a preview of it:

However, after reading some details about the season two finale, I think I'm going to wait until the season's over--because I may be forced to make some alterations to my story to deal with canonical events.

Such is the nature of fan fiction. Feel free to share your thoughts on how you deal with canon in your own works here.

Is that a rough draft of a drawing?
'Cause that might need some work before it's completely finished.

51705 It's only a preliminary sketch. The final version, which I will publish alongside my story, is in full color and looks quite nice. Of course, I'll also provide a link to the artist when I decide to publish. :scootangel:

Oh, so you've hired artists to do your picture.
SWEET!
I wish I had those sort of resources. :fluttershysad:
