New Story: Brave New World

Howdy, ya'll! My newest story, entitled Brave New World, is up on the site and can be found here.

Now I know I said I wouldn't release anything unfinished until both Star-Crossed and Malaise were done, but.... I lied! It wasn't a malicious lie, I promise you, as I wrote the first chapter of this before I made that promise, and I've been wanting to dig into something juicy and epic and adventure-y for some time, but didn't have any concrete ideas. Then, I remembered that I had already started one, so I began working a bit on the second chapter and went ahead and submitted the first.

The story involves Twilight Sparkle waking up two-thousand years into the future of Equestria and finding out that everything she once knew is gone. I know, I know, cliche, but hey, cut me some slack; I wrote this before I knew about Millennium Wake or Harmony Theory or any other famous fics in the same vein.

My primary inspiration for this story came from two places: the book series Eragon, by Christopher Paolini, and the videogame Final Fantasy X, developed by Square Enix. It will be in a similar style to those, and it will be long. I'm going to try my best not to abandon it, and also keep my other fics going, and also still write one-shots.

I'm going to be a busy little bee.

Now, for those of you following Star-Crossed, I'm working on the new chapter. Progress has been a little slow, but its starting to pick up now, so I should have no problem getting the chapter out by the end of the month if nothing else comes up.

For Malaise, well... pretty much the same stuff I've been saying. I'll get to it when I get to it.

I also have several one-shot shaped coals in the fire that I've been working on, and hopefully at least one of them will see the light of day sometime soon.
