New Story - The Furthest From the Tree

To borrow from the incomparable Jim Ross: "Bah Gawd King, GMP wrote a new story!"

In this case, it is in the form of The Furthest From the Tree, a one-shot that focuses on Applejack. Specifically, an Applejack that never left Manehattan.

A quick note on where this came from: I recently joined the School for New Writers group, and their most recent monthly "assignment" dealt with characterization. The specific task was to rewrite an existing character in a totally different light, with an eye towards making the reader forget about the character that they already knew. AJ and Manehattan immediately sprang to mind, so I just ran with it.

July's "assignment" was actually canceled due to scheduling issues, but I decided to finish it anyway, in order to get some more writing experience under my belt.
