Nightmare Night Retrospective Commentary · 8:50am Nov 27th, 2013
Forgoing my usual habit of writing commentaries for my works, I talk instead in this audio commentary, rambling for an hour about how my ambitious plan for October rose and fell, the eight 1/2 tales I told, the people involved, and why I hate horror.

I haven't spent much time exploring the horror genre, so It was Interesting to hear your thoughts on what are the proper elements required to create a believable horror story.
It was a rather enjoyable experience getting a glimpse into your writing process, and learning what inspired you to create the stories for your Nightmare Night event.. I can't think of any other amateur writers, let alone published authors who take the time to actively blog with their reader base. So thanks for being a boss in that regard.
My top three favorite from the event were, and a simple reason why:
1) The Dead Don't Shuffle - Kick-ass characters
2) We Three Kings - Excellent lovecraftian atmosphere
3 ) Hippocratic Oath - Clinically efficient horror
Also I definitely wouldn't classify your event as a failure. The way I see it, you got a chance to cut loose and explore worlds you might not have gotten a chance to otherwise. It's certainly no easy feat to get one's original content noticed within any medium. So at the end of the day if you feel that your skills have improved from the experience, then it was undoubtedly worth while

When I first started, I wanted to do something that was separate myself from the others, and the first thing that came to mind was start writing commentaries. Plus, I like to talk a little, except when i actually have to look at people. Real me and internet me are two completely different people. I thought about going to a convention like ACEN and see if I could meet any fans of mine, just to see how it would turn out.
This was fun at times, but I had toyed with the idea of making this a yearly venture. ow... I don't think so. Only my core fanbase really read the stories, with the exception of SCP-009 due to it being tied into the Foundation lore. While i liked making these, it isn't likely I will complete what i set out to do. The Greatest Show on Earth is still out there, and perhaps i will finish it up some day... but I just have a lot of mixed feelings about this event.
