Today is my birthday, also known as Christmas Eve. On this day people all over the world celebrate the birth of myself and some Jewish dude. It feels nice to be appreciated.
I am now 30 years old, which I think technically qualifies me as an adult. As part of my coming of age ritual my body was painted with ox-blood after which I had to fight wild tigers with only a flint knife. Emerging victorious, I was awarded a brand new smartphone, which is awesome because my old phone was the telecommunications equivalent of a retarded caveman still trying to figure out the whole "fire" thing.
Christmas time is busy time for me, what with having to spend a lot of time with family and getting stuff and eating delicious food, so I haven't really had time to focus on my writing lately. I have made some pretty decent headway on Time Crusade, but I don't expect to upload the next chapter until sometime in early January at least.

They didn't let me use a knife during my coming-of-age ceremony.
And really, instead of a smartphone they just sent me off to war against a neighboring tribe.
Still, my birthday doesn't fall on Christmas day, so I still think I came out on top.

Christmas Eve, actually - December 24 is the big party around here. Christmas Day is mostly just when we relax, play with our new toys and eat the leftover food.
