    Holy. Shit. (Wasteland Followup)

So, as a little update on my adventures into the wide world of Wasteland...fucking hell; they weren't kidding when they said the game was unforgiving. I've become a familiar acquaintance with the Grim Reaper, along with the tired phrase: "Your life has ended in the Wasteland."

    Wasteland

    Just bought it on Steam.

It's basically a predecessor to the Fallout series (made by the same developers); it's been noted for being extremely difficult and unforgiving from the beginning of the game all the way to the end.

    Since We're Nearing Thanksgiving...

I have to watch this movie again.

If you haven't seen this movie, do yourself a favor, and watch it. :ajsmug:

    Story Time

    Give this a listen.

Long story, but I thought it was pretty damn good, and worth sharing.

So, as a little update on my adventures into the wide world of Wasteland...fucking hell; they weren't kidding when they said the game was unforgiving. I've become a familiar acquaintance with the Grim Reaper, along with the tired phrase: "Your life has ended in the Wasteland."

At any rate, here are my first impressions:

1.) I honestly found this game to be fun, but it's also hard as fuck.

2.) The default four characters (the four listed in the image above) all suck majorly; thankfully you can just delete them and create four of your own right off the bat.

3.) It's a godsend that constitution points (hit points) regenerate with the passing of time.

1686437 You're correct; some of the characters and elements share some features with the future Fallout games (i.e. the Guardian Citadel being the inspiration for the Brotherhood of Steel). I think someone from Interplay even stated that Wasteland was their main inspiration for the first two Fallout games.

1687351 Yeah, it's available on Steam for like five or six US dollars. If you don't have Steam, I think you can find it as abandon-ware on Google, or something.
