Okay, so I'm not much of a Brony so correct me if I'm wrong here, but I had a thought the other day.
Compared to the old MLP series, Changelings just kinda popped up out of nowhere.
But Flutter Ponies have had barely a mention in the series since it's revival in 2011. Why do I mention them both here? Because they could easily be related, or at least written to be so.
Since MLP is all about friendship and love, it wouldn't be too far fetched to say that the Changelings are the result of what happens when you go from friendship and love to hatred in the pony world. And as a bit of a curse, they have to feed on it.
Queen Chrysalis could easily be Windy Wing after she decided to leave ponyville, let's say it was due to Jealousy or maybe even an issue between species. And many of the other Changelings could be those that left to follow her?
I only know what I've read as I've never seen the cartoon, but I figured it'd be an interesting scenario.
Anyone have any thoughts?
I think that's a nice way to see it, kind of a warning if you stray off the path of love and friendship!!!
