Honey Pie is finished! · 7:30pm Mar 29th, 2014
The last chapter, Won't you Please Come Home is up now!
I also still have my chat room open, and if you come join me you can get a sneak peek at the first chapter of Honey Pie II: The Wrath of Chrysalis. To join, simply get on the irchighway network (ie the one that can be accessed through FimFiction's handy "chat" button, which should be somewhere above this blog) and type /join #fimfiction-spark
Other things of note:
I've been doing some art, and just finished up a portrait of the handsome protagonist of Honey Pie, Sweetcake himself.
The first published chapter of Honey Pie II is probably about two weeks out. Meanwhile I'll be publishing a short story in a completely different style titled Over a Cardboard sea, about Luna, Nighmare Moon, and her banishment. That should be up in the next day or two.
And lastly long-time readers and the handful of new fans who've faved it will be pleased to know that my co-author has promised a new chapter of The Spark to Light a Candle this week, so brace yourselves for more of my dark AU epic!
That's all the news I have right now. Thanks again to everyone who's read, faved, followed, and commented. Authors feed on that stuff like changelings feed on love, so it is much appreciated.
Eight Happy Pinkies
That is all.
OMG you art so goooooooooooood! ;-;
1964454 'Daww, thanks!
1964457
I would art your face if I could.
Alllllllllllll over your face.
1964462 Creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy.
1964465
Oh bby, I haven't even gotten to the true creep factor yet.
1964475 I think I should be worried.
I wish I could shade like that. But great job on the pic! I hope my colored sketch pencils will come in soon!
1964501 Thanks! (Colored pencils are the best, they are probably my favorite medium, though oil paints are also awesome, just a pain in the butt to use.)
1964512 May I ask how you were able to shade that so beautifully? I'm just starting sketching myself.
1964517 Lots of practice, is most of it, I've been doing this for years. Early on I did a fair number of shaded shape studies. Drawing balls and cylinders and so on, from life or from good photos, and seeing how the light and shadow act on the shapes. And even something like this is mostly made up of balls and cylinders.
1964531 Thanks for the advice! I've been mainly drawing mlp mares and stallions, and so far I think I'm doing a waaayyyy better job drawing stallions. I just drew what I believed to be a pretty good sketch of Thunderlane and Applejack. Even though it's not shaded yet I think I did a really good job.
Wow, that's an awesome picture
Awesome job!
Somehow I completely missed the fact that Honey Pie has been updating until now. I knew that you were going to add to it, but I just thought it hadn't happened yet. Turns out I just wasn't following it like I thought I was. Oh well, it all worked out fine in the end.
