Hello guys, yes I thought of writing another review, Tonight! Because I can do that! And you can stop me Just call a riot of angry members and shife me with fire poles saying to put down my reviews and well the rest will carry on itself.
Annnyway, this is the "Fantasia Archsage Review", and tonight I bring you the review of Stars In His Eyes.
Now I was lurking through the new stories section when guess I saw write a new story “The Princess Rarity” , and I was like hmm… The Princess Rarity, reviewing her stories… why not? I clicked it and found out it romance, and then I thought maybe I shouldn’t read it.
But when I saw kilala97, my eyes stuck the screen and my mouth was like The Kilala97! Awesome! I’m reading this now!
Upon clicking the chapter, I literally laughed. It was the first time I saw the author link back to herself within her story. It was bleeding hilarious, but it wasn’t a bad thought either. To me, in my head of crazy imaginations, I thought it was a great presentation before the actual story or episode if I may.
Why did I say an episode? Well, glad you asked my reading stranger. Because it’s exactly how this story was read like an episode. Dammit, if I could write like that within my pile of cow dung.
Okay, so the beginning of the story begins with a very nice description of the time of day and then a little history which I thought was pretty good bringing together I with think a great way to begin happy setting for a slice of life fic.
Now reading on into the scene with Gold, I hope you don’t mind me not using his whole name, your maaajesty. Haha, I cut the complete thought. Anyhow, reading into the scene with Gold and his cousin, it was really funny and cute and reminds me of my little cousin who acts very similar. I connected with this part very well. Not leaving out the fact that the dialogue was also great for the same.
Now I’ve seen kilala97’s art and they’re amazing, but I’m not really an in-depth fan so I don’t know everything about her arts. What can I say, I’m just your amateur art admirer. But the author introduces the character fairly well. Starburst, in a nutshell she usually overworks herself to exhaustion and somehow that played really nicely into the overall romance story. Personally speaking, that’s quite me alright. Starburst and me have similar characteristics.
Anyhow moving on.
Now to the romance scene which I find to be done really well. It start out great, in other romance I’ve read prior or even when I’m writing my romance garbage I either bull rush it into the lake of fire or leave some parts out, but the author did it really nicely hence her name, guess it really is her great craft.
Darnit, I don’t like spoiling things but I wish I was luck as Gold. If only I was half as lucky… oh well not everyone is lucky, hence the word.
And now went it got the part where Gold was about to reveal his feelings to her, the part where I was like Yes, Yeeeess!, I was completely slapped in the face with a custard pie.
My reaction was like Oh no… okay I’m gonna close my eyes and when I open them the scene is going to go how Imagined with Gold telling Star about his feelings aaannnd *opens eyes* still the same… Noooooo!
Then after five minutes, I read on and said welp, that was a life saver and now I could go to sleep angry about when will he actually confess it to her. Sadly, that’s left up to the readers imagination. To hell with cliff hangers.
Okay, let’s wrap this review up.
The overall execution of the story was great. From the scene, to the characters, to the dialogue, to the transitioning, everything was greatly written. But why would I ever doubt, she is "A Princess" after all.
What I really like about this story the most was the transition. Yes, the transition. I feel like the author did the transitioning from scene to scene very well. I would recommend all romance writers out there to use this as a reference when they want to do romance. The author did the transitioning well especially with the romance scene. Kinda like a lady walking up to a guy. Not too fast, not too slow, just at right pace compared with other stories where a lady would latch onto the guy like a vampire, and the guy is like holy shit, get the hell of me response.
But that’s what I really loved about her story, her transitioning. How she introduces and ends each scene is done very well. For me, it was almost soothing. If read right, the author could have left out the lines and a good reader would still be able to tell when the scene changes. Not saying that anyone here isn’t. Just saying.
I believe that’s all I have to say about this great story. Thank you all for reading this review. I felt great reading and reviewing this story and I think you should all give it a read and let your minds play out this wonderful episode of My Little Pony, and it's not really a long read at all. This story is called “Stars In His Eyes”. Written by The Princess Rarity and reviewed by Fantasia Archsage.
If you like the review, please comment, tell me what you think or tell me it was good, it would suffice. Share away with your followers or anybody on the sight. I’ll hopefully do another in a couple of hours. Thank you all again for reading and good night.
I can?
Anyways, I'm sorry I haven't been able to look through your story in its entirety. Bio exam and all my other classes took up a lot of time. I'll try to finish getting through it by this Friday, though. So far, I like the story!
1978321 Yes, you actually can stop me. Get a riot of angry people saying for my reviews to end and that's it really. It carries its course from there. So yes, I actually did mean that.
1978327 Nah, I wouldn't do that.
Keep up with the reviews: I get my daily dose of stories from them.
I'll see if I can read some more of your story, though.
I have no reason to try and stop you.
Heh, I'm glad you're doing these. Now I actually have something to read when I log on. ^_^
This wasn't my fault... I had nothing to do with this.
