Yeah, that was pretty funny how that badass Chinese robot got taken down in seconds. Also: Australians have missiles and double swords, Americans have plasma cannon, rocket elbows, and sword, Chinese have three arms, full rotating midsection and saws. Russians have... I like that idea. Maybe it could do some space time disruptions all over so monsters appear at random instead of one static location, so it makes the robots more necessary and static defense won't be as effective.

Totally. Hell, the Wonderbolts are primarily supposed to be a special emergency response team, so maybe the jaegers are piloted by the Wonderbolts emergency response teams. (no one ever specifically said the Wonderbolts didn't have ground teams or that they were all pegasi :V)
