Time Crusade update, part 2 · 8:12pm May 6th, 2014
It's still not finished, goddammit.
...But more importantly, it's turned out to be longer than I anticipated - the parts I have written already exceed 10k words.
As such, I have now more or less decided to split the chapter into two parts. The first one (henceforth chapter 3) will be around 6k word, the other (chapter 4) will probably end up somewhat longer.
I'm not sure if I can have the first part ready for publishing today, but it should turn up pretty soon. Frankly, I'm just as sick of this as you guys probably are. This will serve the dual purpose of ending the unofficial hiatus and buy me a bit more time to focus on putting the final touches on the big fight scene.
Oh, did I mentioned that I kinda hate writing fight scenes? I love reading or watching them, but writing them is always kind of a chore. *sigh* I should have just written a nice slice of life romance instead. But no! I had to go dream up an epic adventure war story.
Fight scene? Does that mean we get to have ponies yelling to get stronger or do they use singing about friendship?
We should collab sometime; you write the touchy-feely bits and I'll bring the smackdown.

More the former than the latter, I expect.

Alas, I don't do collabs, because I'm the worst collaborator in history. Literally. I collaborated with the Nazis during WW2, and after the war the French gave me a medal for my extraordinary achievements as a saboteur.
Just wondering, are you hoping to have this story span on for a while (like 10 chapters onwards), or have we already read the majority, with a conclusion already planned out?
I wondering cause I really hope it does last a while

Oh, we're pretty much just getting started. I don't expect things to really kick off until at least chapter 6 or 7.

Yay! New chapter soon! Blessings on chapter four.
What is it that gets you about fight scenes? I may have a few tips & tricks for you depending on what gets you mired.

I just think they're kinda tedious to write, honestly. They tend to drag out and need a lot of planning and I have to get the pace right. They don't come naturally to me the way, say, dialogue does.
