You guys did NOT make this easy.

I mean it when I say that I came to my final decision not two hours ago. I was almost considering extending the contest again. But in the end there was only one choice I could make.

Before I get to it though, let's clear up a few things. A couple of questions you may have been asking yourself.

1) Is this all a thinly veiled attempt at self-promotion on the Light's part?

Who's veiling? Follow my page. Read my fic. Tell others to read my fic. Spread the word of the Light around. I'd like to get to ten follows by the end of the month. (I have something special in mind )

2) If this is a major part of your writing process, shouldn't you have your OWN playlist?

Yes I do. No you didn't have to match it to win the contest.

I have a very eclectic musical taste. It would be nigh impossible to find anything that matches it out on this forum. This exorcise was to see how OTHER people viewed these characters. Not to see how many matched mine.

Keam didn't just mange to pick something better than a pick in my head, she did it THREE TIMES.

One was Chiquita by Abba for Pinkie Pie.

When you think of Pinkie, what do you think of? You think High energy, hyperactivity, full blown insanity, right?

Keam saw something different. Optimism

Chiquita is a very slow and quiet song. It's also very SINCERE. The group is desperately trying to cheer up a girl (named Chiquita), telling her that no matter how bleak it looks right now things can always get better.

It's like a full length version of the bridge from Smile Song! It proved that she had a VERY good understanding of best pony!

The second choice was Love Story by Taylor Swift.

I'm a f$&king idiot. I knew of this song before I was a brony! How did it not occur to me to use this as the song for the show's Disney Couple!

But the one that pushed it over the edge was Better Than Revenge by Taylor Swift

Thank you for this song. I've been listening to it nonstop for over three days.

There aren't many women in metal, and that's a DAMN shame. To make up for it however, I collect what I like to call "Psycho Bitch" songs. Songs where the one singing is HIGHLY mentally unstable. It's about as metal as you can get with a female vocalist (unfortunately).

And Better Than Revenge is one of the best examples of the subgenre I've ever heard, and DEFINITELY the perfect choice for Sunset Shimmer.

I don't know if keam thought Twilight was singing the song about Sunset or vice versa, but it works SO WELL either way that it really doesn't matter.
