A Word About Direction · 11:54pm May 28th, 2014
First off, I swear About Last Night will be updated tomorrow. Now, onto the real purpose:
I think I'll be taking the Dark tag off of Direction.
Truth be told, I had forgotten it was on their until recently. After thinking a bit, I realize that about the darkest thing I was planning was a fight scene akin to Twilight vs. Tirek in Twilight's Kingdom, and now that the show established that, I think I'm good. It won't touch upon the child abuse that Families did, which seemed to be the main factor in people demanding the tag be there.
I added it to Direction, but looking back perhaps I was overreacting. So here's a word: that last chapter? It's about as dark as it's going to get. So... unless I get any objections, I'll make the change in a day or two.
Now then, onto something else. I have three one-shots I want to do. To make up for the wait, I'll give you a sneak peek:
The Burden of Being a Parent
The "lost" chapter of Post Nuptials. Essentially, what did Twilight's parents think of the whole mess? Now that I've decided what to do with them in the Nuptialverse, I can write this.
A Promise Broken
An analysis of Celestia's relationships with Twilight, Sunset, and even Luna to a certain extent.
The Chessmaster
Inspired by Friends Forever #3, it'll be a look at Celestia's methods of teaching and ruling. It won't be a deconstruction, like Reality Check's Parting Words (as great as I think that fic is), it'll be more of a reconstruction.
I'll probably release these by the end of June.
Hey, as long as you can promise that it'll be heartwarming and as loving as the rest of your awesome work...I'll be there!
Looking forward to all three, namely "Burden" and "Chessmaster"
There is only 1 direction
Huh... Well, can't say I'm not excited to hear about more stories from you. Granted, I've only read the Nuptialverse so far, but Chessmaster sound interesting enough.
Also. Remove a "Dark" Tag from a story, and no one bats an eye; Add it to a story, and everybody loses their mind!
Seems like a valid decision, and one that lets me breathe a sigh of relief.
And looking forward to those one shots, especially "Burden of Being a Parent".
Hmm, these all look very interesting... though the last two look like they could be combined into one. Though that's probably me just being ignorant of what you have planned.
...Barely anything even happened last chapter.
The new stories sound cool.
