Cydox Crescent

This cosmic dance of bursting decadence and withheld permissions twists all our arms collectively. But, if sweetness can win, and it can, then I'll still be here tomorrow to high-five you yesterday.

    It's been a whilw

I'm sorry for the long absence and lack of writing. I've been... busy to say the least. What with life and all.

Today was my last day of high school. I'm... a graduate. I've finished... it's over.

    No Wifi and No Writing

For the past while I've gone without wifi and have been unable to do much anything. And I took a long ... looong break from writing. Kinda dealin' with life. Senior year of school, college recruiters, crappy luck and crappier family. But ... I'm back. It might not mean much, but I'm sorry.

Keep livin', I'll be posting something soon hopefully

A taste of what's to come

Welp, in a week, I'll be done with my current studies and I will be back to full on writing (and goofing off in a manner fitting of the King of Procrasti-Nation). I got everything straightened out and I finally got some ducks to give. heh, you looked, right?

    A Mistake

I made a mistake and now I'm hurting. I'm crying and I'm clutching my chest and sitting with this laptop not knowing what to write to make this pain go away. I was so foolish. So so foolish.

A taste of what's to come · 12:47am May 31st, 2014

Welp, in a week, I'll be done with my current studies and I will be back to full on writing (and goofing off in a manner fitting of the King of Procrasti-Nation). I got everything straightened out and I finally got some ducks to give. heh, you looked, right?

I'm proud to say that I'm about 1/4 of the way done with the first chapter of my Spikiara fic (at this time called Diamonds and Dragons) And I feel it's best to give you a little peek.

There was a certain feel to the grass and the dew as I walked, swishing by my feet, and a smell in the air accompanied with the whistles of the song birds that lived in the neatly ordered trees of the apple orchard that made everything feel freaking awesome. And not your normal, everyday kind of awesome, but like a Power Ponies: Into the Mirror issue 19 Rise of Deadly Mediocrity kind of awesome. Like your insides were made of explosions and you like it kind of awesome.

Well, maybe explosions were a bit much, but today was still a really good day.

“Howdy there, Spike!” Somepony called out from behind me, and judging from the voice, it was AJ. “What’re ya doin’ here? And so early, too.”

I turn and readjust the sack on my shoulder. “Nothing really,” I said. “Big Mac just asked me to bring him some nails.”

“That’s an awfully large bag for just a box of nails.”

“Tell me about it. He asked for, like, what, twenty boxes of nails or something? It’s like he's scared of running out or…”

We looked at each other and facedhooved. “The Gazebo Incident.”

“Geez, you’d think he’d be over it by now. I mean, it’s not like he didn’t enjoy his off time.”

She cracked a grin, trying hard to stifle laughter. “You’re tellin’ me. It’s not every day you get mares fightin’ over you and a kiss on the cheek from Princess Luna.”

“All for want of a nail.”

“So I guess I’ll be takin’ that bag off your hoov—er, claws. Big Mac’s out buckin’ trees and won’t be back ‘til later.” She sighed and readjusted her hat. “Speakin’ of buckin’, I really should be out there helpin’ him. I’ve just been so busy cleanin’ up the Bloom’s latest mess while she’s off doin’ Celestia knows what.”

“Well, I can always just leave the nails in the barn and clean up the mess for you,” I said. “Where is the mess, anyways?”

“Nowhere!” Applejack yelled, her eyes wide and fearful. “I mean … you don’t need to worry about it, sugarcube. You just run along and let me deal with the mess.” She gave a startled chuckle, raising a hoof to scratch her head. “Don’t want to make the mess worse now, do we?”

I cringed. “Right, the life debt. Sorry.”

“It’s alright, Spike, you were only tryin’ to help,” she said, looking a little guilty. “You know, how ‘bout you put the nails in the barn and go out and look for Apple Bloom so she can clean up her mess while I go help Mac with the trees.”

“Sure thing,” I said, turning to run off to the barn but stopped short. The barn was the same as always; a red looming mass of wood that looked like … well, it looked like a barn. But there was something off—something tacked onto the side like an afterthought made of rough unpainted wood and haphazard design.

“Uh, Applejack? What’s that giant box-thing next to the barn?”

“Huh? What are you,” she started before groaning and walking up next to me. “Oh, yeah, that. That was one of Bloom’s and her friend’s little attempts at getting their shed buildin’ cutie marks. But after buildin’ it up, it seemed they forgot to add any doors or windows or a roof.”

I smirked. “I guess that explains why Big Mac needed so many nails.”

“Not quite.”

Confused, I look at Applejack, who was grimacing.

“Bloom told me she only used three nails. It’s mostly held together with glue, string, and I’m thinkin’ faith.”

“That sounds … dangerous.”

“You’re tellin’ me,” she said. “So, I guess I’ll be gettin’ to work. Make sure you go and get my sister, now.” With that she left.

That's a rough look. If you see somewhere I can improve, please do tell.

Also, I'd like to officially announce not one, but two sequels to H-hey, It's Me in the works. One will be a quick oneshot with Flutters dealing with some stuff now she's back home, but that's purely to hint at some stuff coming up in the true sequel--parallel more like--which will detail what actually happened to Fluttershy while she was missing ... along with the others with her, fighting for escape.

The image to the left is what I'm thinking will be the cover image for the oneshot sequel, which will be call In the Mirror, but I'll have to okay its use with the artist first.

So, yeah, thank you all for everything, and I'm sorry I don't post much writing. I hope I can post more soon.

So, now I will leave you with the greatest quote ever.

This cosmic dance of bursting decadence and withheld permissions twists all our arms collectively... but if sweetness can win—and it can—then I'll still be here tomorrow to high-five you yesterday, my friend. Peace!
