    Update on a Coffee Break

Just taking a little afternoon break with a nice cup of coffee. While I wait for that to sweep away some of the afternoon fog, I thought I'd shift focus for a few minutes and throw out a small update on my progress. For those that haven't seen it yet, feel free to check my previous blog post for a more general update on my

    New Beginnings

Wow, life is one hell of a rollercoaster. I've been on all sorts of ups and downs the past year and it feels kinda like I'd need a story unto itself just explain everything. The short of it is that I've finally taken the plunge, jumped far off into the deep end and gone back to school, moved into a new place, went through at least two bouts of depression, quit my tabletop group and lost touch

    Hi Again

Okay, I'm still not one to make huge posts going over every detail of how much my life sucks, and how it's constantly getting in the way of me being a productive writer, but I still want to let anyone who still cares know what's up.

Not dead, and a small preview of things to come. · 1:00am Jun 1st, 2014

Okay, so I'm not dead. Got it? Good. No point dawdling on about the various obstacles and obligations that have kept me from being a productive writer.

What's important is that I've got two things I'm focusing on right now. The second is getting back to Twilight's Bird Feeder.
The first, is my first sequel to Apprentice Ship. That's two firsts because it's doubly important to me. Also, because I have more sequels I'd like to write in that continuity. We'll see how things go with this one first. I'm a bit into the fic right now, with everything planned out. Look forward to it soon.

Fat for an Alicorn {comedy} — an excerpt:

“So, Twilight, tell me about this research.”

Twilight nodded enthusiastically. “Right, so, I’ve been studying alicorn biology recently, now that there’s enough of us to be worth calling a sample-pool. During my studies, I’ve noticed something interesting about our physiques. Luna and Cadance, interestingly, share a very similar body shape, nearly identical in fact! Head and facial structure notwithstanding, of course, their physical proportions have less than a 0.000001% deviation. Then, examining me, I’ve found that since becoming an alicorn, my body is steadily becoming leaner, and a my height seems to be increasing a bit as well. Both of these changes aren’t exactly fast, mind you, but I’ve compared Rarity’s files on my dress measurements before and after ascending, and extrapolated to a few years from now to find that my physical growths are trending to be in line with Luna and Cadance’s proportions.”

“I noticed you haven’t mentioned me, yet.”

“That’s because your data is the most fascinating!” Celestia suddenly found a small blush on her cheeks. “You see, your proportions similar, but very different. Specifically, your thighs and buttocks are larger than the expected proportions, given my other data.” — Celestia frowned slightly. She didn’t like where this was going. — “So, I was curious if you could tell me how much you weigh so I could complete my data set?”

With an expression devoid of amusement, Celestia responded. “Are you saying I’m fat?”

Not fat, per se, but you got da booty!

Books fall, every reader dies.

This will be perfectly perfect on so many perfect levels.

"Actually the scientfic term is 'bootylicious.'"

:yay: I just thought to check in and see if Twilight's Birdfeeder was still alive, so good to hear that you're back working on it. And I love Apprentice Ship too :pinkiehappy:

I really hope Twilight grows to be more Celestia shaped in season 5. Her proportions are so much more elegant than Cadence and Luna's. More like a real horse, rather than a weird greyhound thing. Seriously, look how oversized their heads and necks are in comparison to their rumps:
