A weary terror from an urban myth postpones her retirement for one last job at the behest of a friend. The weirdest and least straightforward job she's ever worked on follows--and then her little sister goes and gets herself tangled up in it.

Chugs along about as slowly as a tugboat. I anticipated a lack of writing while I moved into the new (kinda run-down) place, but a renewed focus on drawing just made it worse. Rest assured, while I may be putting a lot more effort into drawing than before, my main focus is still writing, and, well...quite honestly I can't wait to get to the good parts. Which means the issue now is wrangling all the random wandering I've done up 'til now and tying it all together as neatly as possible.

One thing I sorely need to do here is figure out how to talk to people about my story. The main problem is that it's heavily based on discovery--which means even laying out the premise is a spoiler, of a sort. Spoiling is more or less necessary to write a blurb that isn't just nonsensical vagaries, so the trick comes down to pinpointing just how much to spoil. The other problem is that the first half of the (whole) story is more or less me blundering about, sprinkling seeds that will grow into the central story but for the most part just doing whatever.

ART
(New section!)

So, plans for commissions are still in the works. I want to get a healthy variety of samples before I open up, which currently includes:
- One drawing of each mane six member
- LyraBon
- Octascratch/VinylTavi
- Possibly Appledash/Rainbowjack
- Some OCs (notably ones that don't feature grey/white/black as their dominant color)

As for the first month--if you didn't catch my other patch--commissions will be exactly zero. 100% free. I refined the 4-slot queue a bit, and I think a better idea is to raffle off slots. It'd work something like this:
- During a not-yet-determined period of time, persons A, B, C, D, E, F, and G contact me for a commission (no info is given at this time, just that they want to commission me).
- After said period of time is up, one person is randomly selected for each slot. Say G, D, B, and A get the slots (in that order).
- Persons G, D, B, and A are removed from the pool and become ineligible to recieve another free commission.
- Persons C, E, and F are automatically entered into the next raffle, and recieve an additional chance to win said raffle.
- During the next period of time, persons H, J, and K enter the raffle. The raffle pool then looks like so: H, J, K, C, C, E, E, F, F
- Four are randomly selected for each slot (no repeats), so on and so forth.
I think this is a lot fairer than just first-come-first-serve, especially since people who missed out on a slot would've had to basically spam me to get a slot. Also works around the waiting list dilemma. (Results would be determined using random.org.)

PERSONAL

All moved in, mostly settled in. Still some minor stuff to sort out and routines to be refined. I spent a good few hours helping a friend design an OC yesterday (who unintentionally ended up with a similar color scheme to Flash Sentry), so things are looking good for more regular drawing, except for Wildstar. I'm tempted to try and get into raiding but between that, LoL, job-hunting and everything else, there probably wouldn't be much time for writing or drawing, which is unacceptable. I might aim for less hardcore raiding, but at this point, who knows.

And since I forgot to mention this earlier--people looking to play with me on League, I'm on NA, name is "Bluesparks". As for Wildstar, my main is on Thunderfoot, name is "Lumina". I shamelessly admit I nicked that name from Awakening, which is the last ponyfic' I read properly, mostly thanks to the last line of the blurb: "This is the far future, and this has happened before."

Semi-related note: there is an OC in BWSD named Lumina, and at time of writing I only just found out that it's an actual word (plural of lumen), which means I was wrong and my complete list of OCs retains its flawless record of having nothing but actual words (some not in English) in it.
