Getting A Job And Swearing Into The Marines · 2:49am Jun 17th, 2014
Okay, so hey guys. I'm extremely sorry for the lack of time I have been putting into entertaining you guys with a good story or two but to be honest this summer has got to be the busiest time of my life I have ever been in. I was hoping to finish Escape Insanity over summer break but the new job I have just landed kinda shatters those plans in to many different tiny pieces. It is at a greenhouse place in Ohio. Folks, let me just get one thing clear to you all: Never get a job at a greenhouse. Especially if you have to work 11 hours a day. There is nothing to do and yet they still find the crappiest jobs around to put you on if they either find you slacking or helping out other coworkers with their work in groups of 3 or more. At least the pay is tremendous for min wage. On top of that I have to do a lot of volunteer work, train for soccer season, and train to get into the Marine Corps. I am way too busy and there doesn't seem to be a break for me anytime soon.
Speaking about the Marine Corps, I am about to swear into the D.E.P (Delayed Entry Program) on July 1st - July 2nd. I can't tell you how excited I am for that to happen as I have been waiting for over a year for this time to come. You can bet I will get a recording of me swearing in if you want to see what it is like and show that I am in no way lying to you all.
So here are my options:
1: There is a week coming up in July set aside for my family's vacation. They are going to Mass. to visit relatives. I will be able to work on the story there undistributed for long periods of time but it will be without internet meaning if I happen to finish a chapter I have to wait to get back home and copy and paste it from the doc into FimFiction. I do want to go to, yes be able to do this, but also see my (almost) entire family for the last time before I join the Marine Corps being as they most likely will not be able to make the trip to my graduation ceremony or any time thereafter. My parents have however given me the option of staying behind. The only con that I see with this situation is that I will not be able to do my daily training to get into the Marine Corps (and I need it now more than ever). Also I will not be able to make an income on the trip.
2: I can stay home and continue my busy life hoping nothing bad happens trying to get out the next chapter as much as I can. I will be able to continue my training and continue making an income (for more extra curricular events which anyone who could possibly show up to partake with me is welcome to do so just ask. I doubt any of you can though. Oh well its the thought that counts) (If I get enough money I will be able to get a better computer and play BF3 and BF4 on it if anyone would like to join me there).
It may be quite obvious to you what the choice SHOULD be but for me it is quite a hard decision. If you wish to input what you think I should do go head. Your input will help me to come to a conclusion. If not then I am more than capable of deciding for myself.
In other news, I am looking for someone to constantly pester me in message form either daily weekly or monthly about if I have gotten any writing done. This will help me get things done faster. I know it is a very weird thing to ask but it works for me. It makes me drop what I am doing and respond by attempting continue writing. "Motivation" as you would call it. If none of you step up to the plate I will find someone who will be likely to help me out like my friend or my editor (who is an extremely awesome person, check out his page: DJSltine), however, be aware being this person comes with a perk. I will give you the password for unpublished view and the link to the chapter to both see my progress and to ridicule me for my lack thereof.

UPDATE (20140624): I have successfully sworn an oath of enlistment today. I am now a part of the United States Marine Corps. I will post more details on this tomorrow along with a report on what it was like at MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) and the video of me swearing in (if I have time tomorrow that is.).
UPDATE: My MEPS date got pushed up to this Monday-Tuesday. Also position of Motivator will be closing by Friday. By that point I will ask some of my friends to help me with that job.
