Author's Note to Epilogue, and Triple X in General · 5:30am Jun 6th, 2012

I was going to start this off with a song quote, but I discovered that both of the sources I counted on actually didn't really have very good lyrics for this time. So, I'll just have to jump right into things.
I really like the ending I did, but if you think it was too soon, I explained my reasoning in the two paragraphs below. If you liked the ending already, feel free to skim them.
I admit to something that most people don't like having writers do, and most writers don't like having to do: only really having the basic premise for a chapter when I sit down to write, and then winging the rest of it. This was my premise for Chapter 11: Whooves and Sly get mad at each other, causing Whooves to move out, Lyra and Sly make out. That was it. I usually come up with my best ideas while I'm writing, which is why I started with such a basic premise, but this was vague even for me. If you haven't noticed yet, this summary excludes a lot of the major points of this chapter + epilogue, from Whooves' attempted suicide to the chapter ending the story in the first place. But as I began to write somepony coming up to Sly (originally, it was Lyra, and they would've frenched behind Sugarcube Corner), I came to a realization that I really felt like I didn't need to add much more onto what had already been said. I just needed to end the story on a hopeful note for the relationship, and for Whooves to move out of the store, and then the story really was done, since I'd already resolved FlutterDash in Chapter 10.
I could definitely have made the story gone on longer; I had a whole cast of oddballs who ran the other shops on Soresaddle Street that I never used, and I could've expanded the end scene in the epilogue to be an entire chapter, but I really felt like that'd just be me writing Triple X to be writing Triple X, something which I never want to do with any story I write. I really hate fics that go on for too long, and fics that suddenly turn into an adventure story with a Gary Stu villain. It just makes the story worse in the end. So, I just chose to end here. I still am planning to rewrite chapters 2, 3, and possibly 4 and 5, so my job here is not completely done, definitely. And I have many other story ideas bouncing around in my head, so if you're craving more, you'll at least get more from me, I guess.
Funny how a story that only covers a bit more than half a month (August 17 to September 2) took me five months to write. I've learned a lot during this time, and I want to acknowledge everyone who helped me and this fic get where they are today. But I really enjoy this story and I was hopping it would last awhile longer. When I first heard about this story I though great Pony porn but that wasn't the case. The first chapter made me laugh and I love it. All good things has to come end at some point. Oh well. I be looking forward for the last two chapters.

I'm not going to lie, I'm genuinely saddened by the fact that Triple X has ended, but I'm ecstatic that it did so on such a fantastic note!
Over it's eleven chapters Triple X has safely secured its position as my favourite pony fanfic, maybe even work of literature in general. Adult-style humour isn't something I often get to read in ponyfics, and I loved it. Triple X made me laugh, it made me happy, it made me sad (in both happy sad and upset sad ways) and it was just a genuinely great read. I believe I'll find myself recommending this to my friends in the near future, even the ones who aren't bronies but general literature enthusiasts, because I believe this could be enjoyed by non-bronies as well if they could be mature enough to get over the fact that it's about ponies. (I still don't get how that could possibly be a bad thing)

You should make a side story where Doctor Whooves come back to the past . Like a 1 chapter story
Ok before I even start saying anything I want to say this
Triple X= Doctor Whooves: Orgins
Alright moving on to the emotional stuff. I was first suggested this story by a friend of mine who was an avid visitor of EQAD. Naturally I took his suggestion with a pinch of salt and carefully start reading it. I loved it..... The idea of a porno shop in Ponyville was hilarious and that Doctor Whooves was a employe there.... I could barely finish the first chapter I was laughing so hard. Immediately I suggested this to all my friends and we would get together on a Skype call whenever there was an update. Today we got together again to read it, about a quarter through ch 11 a friend pointed out that the next chapter was called Epilogue. We were sad to see it end. Not one of us wanted it to have such a short live, even if it has been 5 months since it started.
It was a good series and we hope to see more of it later maybe in another series.

It did surprise me that this story was ending, but when I though into it the story had run its course. It was a love story between Sly and Lyra and I was surprised because each chapter was made wonderfully and each of their encounters had made their relationship subtly grow in a real way. If it was only subtle to me maybe its because I don't usually read slice of life stories, but I'm glad I read this one. I can say without a doubt I'm looking forward to more stories from you. I'm glad you didn't do the whole "Sly and Lyra snogging behind Sugarcube Corner" thing. I already thought that their relationship was moving too fast.
