Google Derpuments

So, I was reading back through Smile because I'm really not sure where my head was at when I wrote that one, and sometimes I like to go back and try to figure that out.

And I finally noticed that when I uploaded it from Google Docs, it included some of the comments people had made on it down at the bottom.

Now I'm gonna have to go back through all of my fics and see if it did that anywhere else...

Yeah, that happen sometimes. If you use the upload option, I highly recommend resolving all the comments before doing so. If that's not an option, you can always make a copy of the chapter in question and upload that.

On the plus side, I poked my head in, saw the comments, and have the suspicion that this is my kind of story. I missed it coming out, so...

I had that burn me once too. Like q97 said, resolve comments. Also, never have multi-paragraph italics if you use upload. Fimfiction treats empty italics like a null space and you don't get the spacing between paragraphs. Same thing with centers, bolds, underlines... well... you get the idea.

I follow those rules and haven't had any trouble myself with the upload feature since I learned them.

I learned the multi-line italics one when I uploaded Hot Coffee. I had to go back and fix every line of the flashbacks by hand.

And when I used bold for emphasis within those sections, it removed italics, applied bold, reapplied italics, and then reversed it all afterwards, so I got to fix all of those, too.
