So, not very many people pointed it out, but a few readers were confused when I had Diamond Tiara sling this little number at Applebloom in the latest chapter of "Applebloom: Transform and Roll Out!"
“I mean, after all, what are you three?” she asked. “A clumsy pegasus with stunted wings that will never fly, a tone deaf unicorn who can’t do magic, and an inbred, mud pony hick with the town bicycle for a sister!”
Most readers didn't seem to catch it, but a few did and, rightly, asked me what was up with that. I mean, after all, the "town bicycle" suggests "everybody gets a 'ride' from her." Hardly seems a fitting thing to call such a proud, dependable, respectable mare like Applejack, right?
Well, for those that are interested, there is a story behind it. A little piece of headcanon that I've held for a long time, actually, and I've worked it into this story. I wonder, though, now... does anybody want to see it written out? It'd delay the next chapter of SSBD or A:TaRO if I were to write it. Not by much, as it would likely only be a one shot and probably not very long, but does anybody care to see the backstory (as I tell it) behind Diamond's feud with Applebloom? If not, I'll likely just explain it in a blog post sometime. :B

As for the bicycle comment, the only "wha?" I had was whether or not ponies HAVE bicycles.
Otherwise, the comment made sense in the context of the remark.
To be perfectly honest, as a non-English person, I did not even understand the insult... or I might have skimmed through because it's DT being DT, I don't really need to bother with the brat.
If you feel like writing, write away. If not, don't force yourself.

I figured it was just DT calling Applejack a slut to make Apple Bloom mad.
I assumed it was either Diamond Tiara using an insult she didn't understand the full meaning of, or she was just being hurtful without worrying about the truth (much like how people on the internet might claim to have had sex with someone's mother despite not even knowing who they are or where they live).
I also assumed that the feud originated with Filthy Rich attempting to introduce his daughter to one of their important suppliers, and make her be friends with Applebloom. Diamond being her usual bratty self, that quickly went south and set up the current hatred.
But if there's a reason feel free to share.
